nikka, it aint about the doping :mindblown:

how many times do I have to say that this dude was DESTROYING LIVES!

If he was only doping, I wouldnt give a fukk about this story. The fact that he bullied people, bribed organizations, and threatened folk makes this much bigger than simple doping. Dude should be in jail because of what he has done.
Did I quote or disagree with you nikka? :wtf:

I understand your point and agree with you...

My issue is with demonizing ANY cyclist for doping...

If everyone else is doing it, the bigger problem is with the governing body or the league itself. As far as I'm concerned they haven't done enough to clean the sport up, but since nobody really wants to do a boring witch hunt on the sport of cycling itself, it's not something anyone is willing to follow up on.

They should treat cycling like the NFL and not really give a fukk about doping. This years tour had me like :shaq2: with alot of the big names out. Not even one great moment.

for what? because someone said "i can shut you up?"

LeMond didn't write the apology and later sued the bike company. come on man this is all in the same article.

later it even says there were "disturbing" voicemails left for another biker saying "I hope someone breaks a bat over your head"

who the fukk says "I hope someone hurts you" stupid ass hoping imaginary bad luck happens. the next day that same person called back and apologized. get the fukk outta here.

quote some more from the article I posted.

Are you gonna quote the lady who's business took a hit? then she came back and attacked him in a book and then eventually Armstrong's lawsuits against her were dropped? Or how about his teammate who received a threatening text. ooh scary.

Dude had no teeth whatsoever because he was guilty of doping. People went at him and at worst couldn't resign with his team. It's not like they stopped riding, put in jail or got their ass beat.
the fact that these people had to goto court and spend money to defend their names and tell the truth is why dude was such an a$$hole.

That's probably true :heh:

I'm still pissed Bonds didn't make the hall. I really do not want to continue watching that fukking sport while its still run by "traditionalist" fukkheads.

The people who run baseball don't vote for the Hall of Fame.

That traditionalist attitude is not exclusive to baseball writers. Plus, nobody stuck up and went to bat for Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, McGwire... they SAVED baseball and that's not hyperbole. But now they are thrown under the bus. fukking disgrace.

Hey McPhuck, your across the pond right? How's this new's being taken over there?

It is and will be bigger news in mainland Europe, like in France & other big cycle nations, once the interview drops, it will blow up big and the Anti-Armstrong people will be :smugbiden: we finally got him . In the UK, it will get its coverage because hes a global name athlete but as the UK's interest in cycling comes from what we done iin the Olympics and not from him then we'll remember we have Wiggins and no fukks will be given about Lance :smugfavre:

He tried to fukk with Greg LeMond's money when LeMond said he was doping. Riders who were not doping, he intimidated them and forced them out of cycling. He intimidated former teammates to a)dope b) not tell on him. There are many things this dude did. Its 1 million times worse than what Clemens, Bonds, and guys like that did.

He bribed the Cycling Union to not put out tests, etc. This guy is a dirtbag in the truest sense.

Not even that, and to those that say that "everyone was doping," I think the current champ Wiggins made a good point.

IW: Is that why some cyclist still admire him, because he was the best of the bunch? He was the best of the cheats, when there were so many people doing it?

BW: Maybe it was, yes, but I think as well he certainly had the funding to be the best at that, that is like another sport in itself really so it’s not something you should get into maybe as the best of that because it’s gone away from sport in a way, it’s not what sport is about and it’s certainly not why I do it so it is quite sad talking about it in those terms really.

Clemens is still playing professional baseball, and is probably going to get a job with the Astros this season. Mark McGwire currently has a job in baseball.

And there are tons of people who stuck up for the steroid users the past few weeks. I'm not sure what you wanted "baseball" to do about it.

Also, here's what the union rep said, fwiw
"To ignore the historic accomplishments of Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, for example, is hard to justify. Moreover, to penalize players exonerated in legal proceedings -- and others never even implicated -- is simply unfair. The Hall of Fame is supposed to be for the best players to have ever played the game. Several such players were denied access to the Hall today. Hopefully, this will be rectified by future voting."

Even when Jan extended the olive branch he got sonned.

Lance Armstrong crashes and attacks at the Tour de France 2003 - YouTube

Whole sequence had me like

:damn::sadcam::dwillhuh::ooh::blessed:
:lawd:
'03 Tour was the most entertaining Tour ever IMO... :wow:
- Armstrong being attacked from everywhere, against all odds, cycling trough the fields, falling.
- Beloki who was really good. It was a shame he had to leave because of his dramatic fall...
- Ullrich back with that broke ass Bianchi team (that time trial when he won with 1'30 faster than Armstrong :gladbron:)
- Mayo flying high
- Hamilton with a broken clavicula climbing like it was nothing :krshd:
- Moreau holding it up for us frenchies
- Basso with promising debuts
- Vinokourov leading the Telekom...

Every teams had true bosses not like now...

Atleast my man Jalabert will never admit to doping :smugfavre:
He is now an analyst for TV and always avoids questions involving doping trying to brush them off.
But it's obvious he was. The Once team he was at the time been known for that.

Yeah that tour had it all, I'd be happy if we even got a quarter of that this year.
