going to sponsors with what?

"he's gonna tell people i'm doping"
Following LeMond's 2001 statement, Trek threatened LeMond with litiginal and financial consequences, according to a 2008 lawsuit by LeMond Cycles against Trek. Trek had been licensing LeMond cycles since the 1990s and the brand had become successful. Armstrong's business relationship with Trek had become very strong as well after his Tour victories.[22] Armstrong reportedly said privately he could "shut him up" by contacting Trek, as documented in affidavits by Frankie and Betsy Andreu released in the 2012 USADA doping report.[23][24] About a month later, in August 2001, LeMond issued an apology for his comment, calling Armstrong "a great champion and I do not believe, in any way, that he has ever used any performance-enhancing substances. I believe his performances are the result of the same hard work, dedication and focus that were mine 10 years ago."[25]

shut your ass up

Not trying to defend this CAC but is it really cheating when 95% of your competition is doing the same shyt?

Even the nikka that finished last in one of those races was probably doping...:smh:

Doping has always been a big part of that joke of a sports culture...

That's the logic anyone who roids in a sport uses.

nikka, it aint about the doping :mindblown:

how many times do I have to say that this dude was DESTROYING LIVES!

If he was only doping, I wouldnt give a fukk about this story. The fact that he bullied people, bribed organizations, and threatened folk makes this much bigger than simple doping. Dude should be in jail because of what he has done.

So does this mean that, instead of "Livestrong" bracelets, we're going to have "Strongarm" bracelets?

Because I'd rock this. I'd rock the fukk out of them. :ahh:

shut your ass up

for what? because someone said "i can shut you up?"

LeMond didn't write the apology and later sued the bike company. come on man this is all in the same article.

later it even says there were "disturbing" voicemails left for another biker saying "I hope someone breaks a bat over your head"

who the fukk says "I hope someone hurts you" stupid ass hoping imaginary bad luck happens. the next day that same person called back and apologized. get the fukk outta here.

quote some more from the article I posted.

Are you gonna quote the lady who's business took a hit? then she came back and attacked him in a book and then eventually Armstrong's lawsuits against her were dropped? Or how about his teammate who received a threatening text. ooh scary.

Dude had no teeth whatsoever because he was guilty of doping. People went at him and at worst couldn't resign with his team. It's not like they stopped riding, put in jail or got their ass beat.

but what's wrong with that logic?

How are you "gaining an unfair advantage" when everyone else is doing the same shyt?

If everyone else is doing it, the bigger problem is with the governing body or the league itself. As far as I'm concerned they haven't done enough to clean the sport up, but since nobody really wants to do a boring witch hunt on the sport of cycling itself, it's not something anyone is willing to follow up on.
