You the homie but this is FACTUALLY wrong. It seems like you don't watch many Pacers games. They're very much comparable defensively. Both stronger at different things on that side of the ball. It's extremely close between the two - which just goes to show how great PG is when he has a far heavier offensive workload.
PG is 8th in the league in isolation field goal attempts (defense) - holding players to 26.5% shooting.
Kawhi is 94th in the league in isolation field goal attempts (defense) - holding players to 33% shooting.
PG is 46th in the league in ball handler field goal attempts (defense) - holding players to 33% shooting.
Kawhi is 39th in the league in ball handler field goal attempts (defense) - holding players to 36% shooting.
PG is 5th in the league in off screen field goal attempts (defense) - holding players to 37% shooting.
Kawhi is 2nd in the league in off screen field goal attempts - holding players to 47% shooting
Now take these numbers with a grain of salt, as you should with every single defensive stat - as context of help defense, defensive scheme, defensive personnel and game situation needs to be applied - but it gives you a general look at their defensive output.
Nah you've got this wrong too. PG is capable of doing A LOT more offensively - it's not particularly close. Only 44% of PG's 26 ppg are assisted and 63% of Kawhi's 21 ppg are assisted, which again is partly down to the Spurs motion offense and all the ball movement that's going on. So while it's probably not a exact reflection of Kawhi's ability to create points for himself - he still isn't asked to create for himself as often as well as dealing with all the defensive attention that PG gets. It's wrong for you to suggest that he can when i) he hasn't proven it yet ii) he doesn't have the ball-handling/driving ability of PG.
Let's not forget to that this is Kawhi's first season as a #1 option - you can't say shyt like there's nothing PG can do that he can't do. His season career-high prior to this season was only 16 ppg, and his career-high in points is 32 - PG has already had half a dozen games THIS season scoring more than that.
Kawhi's most certainly not capable of putting up performances like the above right now. I mean I've seen a lot of defenders this season still give Kawhi a shooting cushion - the same can't be said for PG - not to the same extent anyway. He can create points for himself and for his teammates in ANY situation. Kawhi isn't on that level just yet. Maybe in time when Pop gives him more offensive freedom, but not right now. His ball-handling will need to improve for that to work also.
