Saw somewhere that Adam Silver released a statement congratulating Jason Collins. Is all this really necessary?!

im watching the game right now and dont see anything about Collins on the bottomline.

Here is another thing tho, its the fukking bottomline. :mindblown:

seriously, if you are watching a basketball game and focused on the bottomline then you have an issue.

are the networks catering to people with issues by running a bottomline while the game is on, what exactly are you implying here?

I don't know about the Bulls game but they definitely showed it as breaking news during the OKC game. The point since you seem to want to go dumb today is if they want shyt to be "where a gay player can just come out and be himself" don't have this shyt as breaking news as if dude is Lebron out for the season or something actually worthy of the title breaking news. shyt isn't hard but people like yourself want to play dumb today for shyts and giggles.

this sista went HAM on Collins with truth. the media won't dare mention the facts that she dropped because it doesn't help sell the agenda.

If you’re easily offended and under the age of 25, I HIGHLY suggest you stay the hell off of my blog and away from this post because shyt it about to get real.

In case you forgot, earlier in the year basketball player Jason Collins came out of the closet to announce that he was indeed gay. While many had opinions about his choices to go public, many people praised him for being brave enough to come out as a gay African American professional athlete. They applauded him for his strength, courage, and openness and while others stood in awe of what an amazing step it was for gay advocacy………. I set there stewing.

At first I was like, “Oh, this is great for the LGBT community!”

Then as I begin to read more and delve more into his personal life, I gotta be honest, I find Jason Collins to b a punk ass bytch.

As a heterosexual woman, who’s attracted to men who want women, I felt for his ex, former WNBA player Carolyn Moos.

This woman gave 8 years of HER LIFE to a man that was basically one big ass lie. Half of those 8 years was spent planning a wedding that clearly never was going to understand. Don’t get me wrong, if you have these deep rooted feelings of who you are and you need to come clean with that, then BY ALL MEANS DO IT. But when you start dragging other people into your web of trying to find yourself, that’s when it becomes a problem.

As a woman, a straight woman, most of us (not all but most) dream of having a family of our own with children that are made up of components of us and our significant others. Someone who’s into and loves US and only US. 8 years is a long ass motherfukkin’ time to be with someone dragging them along trying to get your shyt together. Whether your coming to cope with your sexuality or not, he could’ve done that shyt by his self instead of leading that woman on.

DO YOU KNOW how hard it gets to conceive children when you get up in age?

As a woman in my late twenties, I’m not dating just to date anymore. The next man I end up with, could potentially be my last.

I understand this woman’s hurt. While everyone else is laid up calling Collins a hero, she find out about his sexuality A WEEK before he came out in public.

What type of peanut butter and jelly bullshyt is that?!

I’m all for people coming to terms with their sexuality because I think it makes you a better person when you’re honest with yourself. I’m NOT about this while you find yourself you lead people on though. It’s not fair and it’s selfish.

fukk that.

She’s better than me cause I would’ve had an Angela Bassett moment in private and public.

I never cared before, its none of my business what another nikka does in his bedroom but when I see these clowns getting special treatment that really pisses me off...Jason Collins is not Jackie Robinson...He is a below average basketball player who likes sucking dikk...There is nothing special about this nikka and I'm tied of hearing his fukking name...

I'm surprised at how many of you feel about gay people. If the whole response to the agenda of gay people is having people feel comfortable with homosexuals, so what? I'm not a nikka that compares this to the civil rights movement but to a MUCH lesser extent, it's comparable. Gay people have been around forever & will continue to be around. Jason Collins or Michael Sam have done nothing to you but live their life & felt it was the time to express THEIR sexuality with others. The reaction in this thread alone is why gays don't feel free in the sense of being nothing more than a fakkit that doesn't deserve this/that. They're not normal people & shouldn't have rights. Why do hipsters dress like they do? Why does the KKK still hold rallys? It's America & you're free to tell anyone who you are & express your individuality if you agree with the shyt or not. You have a problem with gay people . What the networks decide to use on their platform is what's going to generate #'s & for the first openly gay player in the Big 4 to be signed to a contract is HUGE news. Even more important for him & possibly why the team signed him in the first place is because he's familiar with the franchise. (J Kidd & KG) But as this thread continues to go platinum that you've contributed to, wonder why this is a big story

I may be wrong but wasn't she just a beard the whole time? I'm pretty sure that he told her and she went along with it. That happens all the time with public figures who want to hide the fact that they're gay.

You didn't say shyt here. Being "free" doesn't mean that you're above criticism or judgement. If you don't want to be criticized or judged for your personal decisions then keep them to yourself. You've basically admitted that this whole stunt was orchestrated and that's what people such as myself are against. I don't wonder "why" this is a big story, I'm opposed to the reasons why it's being pushed as a big story. Learn the difference.

This is way more cynical than the normal run of the mill gaygenda tactics..This is pandering at its worst..Gay people shouldn't celebrate this "moment"..They should be insulted by it..This nikka sucks..And is only being used for a "we did it first!!" token move to beat that crooked tooth fakkit Sam and the NFL to the punch..

Vince McMahon and WWE fans should appreciate the audacity though.
