Man, Coachella VIP was $900 to watch some of the biggest and iconic artists perform with a completely stellar vip experience.

$1,500-$10,000 for any lesser festival should already already your senses.

I Worked at Fyre Festival. It Was Always Going to Be a Disaster.

On March 14, I flew from Miami to the island of Great Exuma to get the planning started. I was excited, at least at first. Flying in, the water looked beautiful — but I was almost immediately warned not to go near it because of a rampant shark problem. That was an omen I regrettably missed.

Pay to go to a beach with shark infested waters breh, this sh*t is truly epic :dead:

Your Periscope video has now been viewed over 175,000 times. Were you surprised that many people were tuning in?

Not really. People love a train wreck, especially if they're people you both envy and want to be given a comeuppance. There was a lot of misinformation. It wasn't $12,000 a ticket like many in the media were saying. I paid $4,000 — the VIP Artist Pass I purchased was $2,700 and I owed my buddy another $1,300 for my share of the $8,000 VIP villa we were supposed to be staying in. Yeah, that's a lot of money, but that's what I thought it would cost to spend four nights in the Bahamas hanging out with A-list celebrities. I was supposed to be flown in on a private plane with Wolfgang Puck making me omelets for breakfast. For $4,000, that's pretty damn cheap.
....

Did any part of the festival site feel like a tropical paradise?

No. Not really. It was mostly gravel and grass. There was some sand in front of the stage, but they just dumped it here to make it feel like the beach. But the rest of the island was gravel, dirt and mud. Thank God it didn't start raining.

This is a grade A finesse job :laff:

The type of sh*t that makes you want to go grab a gat. Paid $12K and you got some Holsum bread, Kraft cheese, a tent, and shark infested waters :dead:

The real truth of the festival is that it wasn't rich kids who got finessed: it was broke/average people who wanted the lifestyle but couldn't afford it:

Despite a pitch deck that promised 10,000 ticket-holders each weekend, sales were low and largely discounted. Most buyers had paid somewhere between $500 and $2,000 for their tickets, despite outlandish claims that people were purchasing ticket packages for hundreds of thousands of dollars. The target audience wasn’t elite or affluent people — it was people who wanted the lifestyle but couldn’t afford it, until Fyre Festival came along.

Fyre Festival organizers blew all their money months early on models, planes, and yachts

^one of the best articles I've read thus far. Had me like :ohhh:

This shyt:

Fyre Festival employees said planning for the event took on the feel of an extended Spring Break frat party. McFarland and members of his team would fly down “every other weekend for lavish vacations” on nearby islands, but only male employees and models were allowed to go. “Billy would take all the boys down there, it would be boys only,” the employee said. “They talk about f—ing bytches and hoes in conference meetings.”

The employee said McFarland would often urinate in the office with the door open for employees to see. “It’s a boys club,” the employee said. “They laugh about it.” Another former contractor called the environment “low-key sexist and racist.”

:laff:

Be surprised that hipster cacs who align themselves with hip hop/rappers are racist, brehs

Its limb, not limp..but anyway

Yall missing the point.. no one is saying they cant sue. They should. The basis should NOT be they were scammed. The Festival wasnt a scam attempt. What part of that do yall not understand?

And no one is getting any life changing money from this.

It was maybe only a thousand people that went

Where were the villas? :mjpls:

"We built as many tents as possible" :deadrose: Plan an event for thousands of people brehs and be building shelter when they arrive, this has to be a joke :mjlol:
These muhfukkas better pray they don't see criminal charges from this because they straight up lied about their lodging accommodations. This was a pic they put up of what one of the lodging options was supposed to look like. An employee said they listed them as a joke and didn't expect anyone to pay for it smh.
