Actually it was your best point because you know how to survive for real.
While everyone else is soft as fukk.
I would never trade away when I was fukked up.
I got to much game and a plethora of skills from the shyt.
Plus, it was another death star in my life and it actually helped on a level nuffin ever will come close to.

I would not trade the experience cause it solidified I factually was a great person and most importantly a survivor.

Only the real really make it.

This.

My worst experiences made me who I am today. From growing up on 79th to,leaving home at 17 and basically being on my own struggling since then, to catching a case getting a felony and not being able to get a decent job, etc....

I wouldn’t trade growing up in the hood for shyt cause that shyt builds character, makes you tough, and in my opinion makes you smarter. I work in corporate America now and 90% of these nikkas have no street smarts/common sense smh

Being on my own since 17 taught me independence. I basically had to thug it out for years and been in so many fukked up situations that I feel it’s literally nothing I can’t handle.

Getting locked up might have been the best thing that happened to me cause it humbled me and made me realize selling dope was not a long term career option. Made me tighten up and I figured out a way to get my record sealed and now I’m making decent money in some corporate shyt.

Wouldn’t change nothing in my past cause it made me who I am today. It’s something beautiful about the struggle once you come out of it.

Everywhere...You never there.
i had to get on grind mode and hustle HARD, i was at the library everyday taking any gig i could off Craigslist even if it was just a short term 1 or 2 week gig

eventually stacked enough dough to pay a co-worker to let me stay with em for a few weeks then i dipped out back to hometown a month after that

in retrospect i'm glad this was in Cali cause the weather made it so it was not so bad, if this was in a state where its cold as fukk i would not have made it

People don’t realize that CL “Gigs” section can get you a lil doe if you’re in our near a sizeable city .

:salute: again ... some real resiliency on your end.

back in Aug our lease was up so me and my old roommate road tripped to san diego and that nikka ended up moving in with his fam, leaving my ass hanging

it was cool at first cause its cali but now im starting to lose my mind brehs :to:

i got a job but im basically living paycheck to paycheck, should i commit dat?

Hell Nawl.

It is always darkest before the dawn. Believe it or not there are states that you can live in that are just as warm as Cali, but cheaper. The Southeast has lots of places that you can live that are a whole lot cheaper than California.

That upstair guy has this journey for you breh.

Like for real real talk.
If I never rode public transportation, since a kid and later worked on it. After being into grafitti.
looking for places to get up and being into what I would learn.
was just standard urban intellectualism everyone should have whether they are in a city or not. I picked up how to survive in an urban modern area. In the country is different with no resources like an urban area. So life has this kinda way of reverting you back to some place of the unknown but with more cognitive skills and awareness.
