So is it safe to say Calvin Booth has wasted Nikola Jokic Prime?

Those teams were the exception and not the norm.

So that's the new expectation going forward, at least 4 rings from a non traditional team.

Yea, my overall point last year (about superteams and superstars needing superstars) was that the "downside" of "parity" is that all the active greats are going to cannibalize each other's greatness, and will struggle to have the team accolades of traditional top 10 players.

Shaq having Kobe.... Magic having Kareem... Duncan having a span of Robinson, Ginobli, Parker, Kawhi...

That shyt is tough to duplicate lol unless you really just move around like Bron and KD did/attempted.

Jokic playing playoff level mins in the first 20-25 games of the regular season not a good sign for the rest of the year for the Nuggets.

Foh with this nonsense. Picking and choosing a few good games and ignoring the bad ones. Great defense of Murray. :skip:

Yes, Murray had some great postseason series. It's unexplainable because nobody in NBA history has had auch outlier performances in the postseason compared to their regular season play. It's like if Mike Conley was scoring 25+ during his Memphis postseason runs.

I'm confident that Murray's numbers will come back to earth like this past spring the more appearances he makes.
You still missing his point lol

Murray was looking like the best player ever to never make an all star game during the 20 & 23 playoff campaigns
We saw glimpses of how great Murray could be. But he keeps getting injured. It takes time to recover, to get into rhythm, etc. By the time he's good again, he's on the injury list again.

I thought guys like Tracy McGrady were injury prone. But these guys like Murray are so much worse.

Losing Bruce Brown was the first strike. Losing KCP this year might’ve been the final nail in the coffin..

I’m not going to pretend to understand the cap situation but when you hear the GM say things like Peyton Watson can replace Bruce Brown it doesn’t bode well. They had a championship core and have slowly eroded it

Losing Brown and KCP was tough. But good thing for them is that Braun has stepped up.

The biggest problem is that Murray is very much of an injury prone and Porter jr. is kind of overrated.

If a guy is injury prone like Murray, you can't expect him to be back fron Injury and play his best immediately. It takes time to get back in optimal shape. And they can't afford to wait like that in a tough western conference, where being a 50% win team doesn't even guarantee you a home court advantage at the play-in game.

They definitely needed Brown in that series with the Wolves….With him they probably beat the Mavs and give the Cs a series…

Nuggets don’t even look like a top 4 team in the west rn..Their definitely in trouble waters..

Btw what happened to Bones Hyland?..Talk about a player who had some juice and ain’t been heard from since..

He fukked his situation up badly. Would’ve been the backup PG instead of Reggie Jackson last year, but he didn’t want to chill for a half a season and collect a ring. Instead he went and found out that no one else wanted him as a backup either.

The Spurs won five with Duncan; The Warriors won four with Steph (and they were NOT a traditional team until Curry made them one). :what:
Tim is a better player than Jokic, playing with better players than Jokic has (Tony, Manu, and Kawhi) and had a better coach than Jokic does (Pop).

Sam thing for Steph.

The answer is no. They got a championship out of it. Folks knew this team was in trouble after they lost their bench depth and put themselves in cap hell giving Murray & MPJR those big contracts.

That's nine titles in the last 25 years. :heh:

Yes, competent ownership/management with a top 15 all-time player should be able to win multiple titles. What good moves have they made since they won the title?
