Well I’ve been waiting on some code to get in spill for like 3 days so it’s whatever. Threads just showed up and people are going there now. I don’t see people having all these social media apps. You better get in there and compete.. There’s only room for so many of these apps.

Not counting Porn. I think that was the issue people were having. Advertisers too. Too much misinformation, bots and wackos being unmoderated. It's literally day 1.5 its not gonna be Twitter overnight. But if they can fix a few things they got a chance IMO...the best chance of anyone.

1. I hate to say it but you gotta allow porn. It generates way too much traffic.
2. I don't care about verified people. Give me chronological timeline.
3. Get in-app video and gifs working through giphy or something ASAP.

They do those three things and I'm not gonna lie...it might actually have a chance to make Twitter even more niche. But because Meta has all the back end support and the money to maintain/buy new servers...they can launch like this. Bluesky and Spill dealing with pocket change compared to them, so there's no way they can add users at scale, they'd break the platform. You saw this on Bluesky last week when Elon switched on view limits.

Twitter has zero censorship! That one attribute alone trumps Threads. Facebook is notorious for its censorship.

Lot of potential. I'm just curious if it's going to be like twitter or IG when you like things. I remember when IG changed it to where nobody could see your likes unless they saw the same post because mfs was getting in trouble :mjlol:

Hopefully they keep it like that
