and I still have no idea what the fukk is happening in it :mjlol:

don't get me wrong it's an interesting enough show and it's pretty well made but the story just seems like a bunch of random shyt thinly held together by the disappearing people premise :dwillhuh: there's been too many moments where I'm like "wtf is going on what does this have to do with anything :what: "

I just turned episode 9 on, apparently this is a flashback episode showing how they lived prior to the incident....I'm not expecting any thing to be explained :damn: but this is a damon lindelof show so I guess mysterious non sequiturs are the norm

any of y'all watched this shyt yet? does anything ever make god damn sense in it? :damn:

so far it's just been crazy cacs murdering rabid dogs, old women gettin stoned to death, and old crazy cacs talkin to voices in their god damn head...and my nikka holy wayne out here bustin raw in young asian girls and bouncing :wow: goat prophetic deadbeat dad

also lol @ a white family being named Garvey :mjlol: nothing in this show makes a lick of sense

real nikkas threw it to the bushes after episode 2

fool me once :umad:

but Lost is the goat show, seeing lindelof behind this is the only reason I started fukkin with it :mjcry:

it's starting to look like it might not be worth watching season 2 tho, depending on how the finale turns out

if you stopped after episode 2 there's some wild shyt you missed tho :wow:

There was a whole thread popping when the show was going on

I would peep it after you finish watching the season.

how did u feel about the show tho brehdeddeh

I had mixed feelings about the show, it definitely had some strong powerful emotional moments and some really good acting in places. If for nothing else it introduced me to Carrie c00n aka Nora who really impressed me on the show. I found the whole concept of the Guilty Remnant to be suspect and annoying most of the time. I felt the whole concept of them not letting people forget/move on felt false, because that's all every character on the show talked about/dealt with was the departure. Nobody was forgetting :mindblown:.

My advice for anybody watching the show is don't go into the show expecting to receive concrete answers on anything. The creative team behind the show have stated that isn't the aim of the show, they are focused on exploring how a mass departure like that would effect the people who remain. Dealing with the grief, suffering, etc. It wouldn't be in my top 10 for this year, but I don't regret having watched it. I am curious to see how the 2nd season turns out because they won't have the book to follow as a blueprint for better or worse.

Yeah, people talked about it, but they tried to continue with their lives, move on. The first episode had the town unveiling a statue in an attempt to help people move on.

The GR wanted people to be consumed by that shyt, every waking moment to be focused on that event.

I fukked with the show :manny: If people go in expecting to find out what happened to the people, they'll be pissed. But Lindelof said from the jump that that wouldn't happen so I knew we weren't gonna be fukked over like Lost

Didn't read most of this thread. @charmander da gawd, Leftovers is cooked crack

i liked it overall but the fact that I know they won't bother explaining any of the shyt going on is gonna make it hard to keep watching it

it seems like some cop out shyt for them to throw in all this mysterious supernatural shyt every episode with no intent of telling the audience how or why it's happening :sadcam: like they wanna just use it as a backdrop for character development which is cool but the mystical shyt is more interesting than the characters
