So im a Breaking Bad novice, and starting to watch

Peep "Luther", "Homeland" and "Game of Thrones". All are crack. "Boardwalk Empire" is good too. I'm 90% sure they're all on Netflix.

Good looking out on those other series. I was planning on watching sons of anarchy next. What u think? Or the shows u just mentioned top that and they run along the lines of something like the wire or breaking bad?

"Sons of Anarchy" is cool....but it ain't fukking with any of the other shows we're talking about. It's like, B-tier, along with shows like "Justified".

Every show I mentioned I'd place near "Breaking Bad", "The Wire" or "Sopranos". Not saying they're better than those 3, but they're close enough that I think you'd enjoy them.

Also, what about that hob series Saigon was on? Is that any good? I remember watching a showtime series about these terrorist and it had the green eyed dude from barbershop in it. "The Cell" I think it was called. I thought that was a classic series.

The Saigon shyt was "Entourage", which fell off horrifically towards the end of the series. It was great for a few seasons though.

What's The Shield about? Cop show? How many seasons so far? Are they still putting out new ones? Worth watching? Does it rank high like The Wire or Sopranos would?

I need to pick up a new show to watch.

"The Shield" is about a corrupt cop. Can't really say much more than that. It ended in '08 after 7 seasons. It's a great show.

I'm almost done with Season 4 but this is what bothers me about Gus.

This dude should have Walt's phone, house, car bugged at all times. As well as Jesse's. If you got all this money, I woud not trust them one bit. Forget having his men follow him.
2ndly, if they killed Jesse, Walt would have no choice but to keep cooking. Simply threaten his family. What is going to do, go to the police? Doesn't make sense to me, how they are basically blackmailing Gus when he can simply take one of them out. Maybe this has been addressed in this thread but I've intentionally not looked at the spoilers.

And it's already lop sided enough as is. So to keep things interesting you gotta give Walt some room to navigate and plot against him. From a story point of view I mean.

Season 4 was a very slow build up. But those 3-4 episodes are all time great. My hate for Walt grew even stronger though. Pretty much everybody except Jesse.

As far as the kid....

In ep 12 when Walt sends his fam away he's sitting by the pool spinning the gun. Twice it points to himself....kinda like God/fate/whatever saying "you're the source of all this evil"....the 3rd time it points to:

That's when he got the idea. That's obviously the same plant we see at the end of ep 13.

And as far as Walt....if you hate him now

He's a monster in season 5. Walt died in that crawl space, laughing. It's all Heisenberg now.
