WWE has legends to fall back on, a better women's division, and multiple people who can be viable main eventers while they don't have another "Cena" they have guys who've been known and respected among fans. Aj Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura are their mid-card champions right now, Robert Roode, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayne, and EC3 are A-listers anywhere else. WWE can afford to send Finn Balor to NXT and keep Adam Cole there. WWE can even afford to have a number of guys injured top ones included and the wheels will keep turning. It would a fukking disaster if any of The Elite got injured.
But see, that’s the thing I kinda of disagree with you.
These “respected guys” got downgraded to the point that people really don’t feel the same way they used to feel about them when they where other places at the height of their careers.
A guy like Shinsuke, he the champ but it’s like Sami is the one leading him verse him being the man and most don’t even remember him till he shows up for 3 mins once every other show. As they don’t even Showcase him as a big deal and like you said, he’s a mid card champ.
EC3 is an a lister but they playing him how some folks trynna play the AEW roster, like he a nobody
Speaking of which, I feel this is fair and I will acknowledge this. Since I saw a few call it out in here, I will agree, maybe some folks are elevating some of the AEW talent cuz they’re in AEW.
But we have acknowledged many do and have done the same thing for WWE talent and I’m gonna specifically target Adam Cole.
Man I wish I could find the thread but I specifically recall some years back when AC was in ROH feuding with Jay Lethal and later becoming the champ.
There was quite a few people shytting on that decision and him calling him garbage, not a star, boring and etc. Saying the same shyt about him being said about the AEW guys.
So it’s funny how all that changed when he joined the WWE
