The ppl I usually hang out with were busy or didnt have any money...so last night, I'm watching the Celtics game like, "screw this, I'm going out...even if by myself. It's time I start having more self-assuredness in situations like this"
So the place I went to is a kinda a casual club/bar(some ppl wear shorts, hats, etc.), so I just wore some jeans and a t-shirt. My muscle fitted OU t-shirt to be exact...this will play in later. So the whole time I'm drivign in the car, half of me is like
"Do you really wanna do this?" other half of me is like "I'm on my YOLO shyt, henceforth.
And I'm gonna be positive."
So anyway, I get there bout 11 something, spray a dab of Kenneth Cole cologne, square myself up and head to the door like a . Off the bat, this white chick was like, "you know what, I like you....and I like ur shirt....I'm not gonna even charge you cover." I was like
"Really...why thank you very much!"
She said she was from Tulsa.
So then I walked in, and no sooner than I got 10 feet in the door these two brothas were like, "Ahhh man, you got the right shirt on...you went to OU? We did too"
So we chopped it up for a minute, then I headed on.
Several mins later, I'm walking around & I spotted this girl I went to college with, she saw me, and so I start talking to her about what she'd been up to since then, etc....while that was goign on, this other dude came up to me like, "hey man, I knew you looked familar, then I got closer and saw ur shirt and remembered you....I went to OU too" (I didnt remember him tho)
By now I'm thinkin', "hey this shyt just might work out afterall."
Anyway, so I leave that area and head over to the dance floor area by the DJ booth & sidebar. I post up....and these two cool ass Nigerian dudes that were over there start talkin to me, and we're hollerin at girls as they pass through, dancing with them etc. I got a beer or two and they offered to pay for it.
Talked to some girls, got a couple girl numbers by the end of the night....and had a great time overall.
I'd lost my swag a while back and was in a severe slump within myself, but last night was like
for me. I'm not all the way back yet, but I'm on the road.
Moral of the story: Have some damn confidence in yourself regardless of the situation, believe that some positive stuff will come to you and it will.
