1-4 were classic. I enjoyed season 5, it was a clear dropoff from season 4, but realisitically, how could they top that? My problem was with the bullshyt ending to the finale. I was done after that.

The whole show was built around Deb eventually finding out about Dexter and she just happens to let them go? fukk that.

I'm sure one day I'll finish the final three seasons, but I'm in no rush to do so.

How the fukk does Miami Homicide ever catch anyone when Dexter kills everybody. Some shyt bugs but I'm halfway through season 8 and I don't know where this terrible talk is coming from. It's weak but not worse than 5.

Rewatched seasons 1-4 on Netflix and watched episode 1 of season 5. One day I'll watch the rest.

There is a clear drop off in quality but it's amusing watching the first four go by with little scrutiny in comparison to the last four for some of the same shyt.

1, 2 and 4 are the clear best seasons.
3 and 5 served as fillers that really bridged the subsequent seasons.

6 had good-great moments, esp with Mos, the Nebraska episode was a nice shout out and of course the very last scene.

Season 7 episode 1 set a big ass stage for the end game and had a lot of great things too esp with Isaak but they dropped the ball with Louis Greene.

Season 8 was incredibly inconsistent and overdone. Instead of sticking to a core story everyone wanted they introduced a whole gang of unnecessary shyt. Unlike most though I loved the finale and it made it worth while. shyt was depressing as hell.

Dexter started out by killing everyone who slipped through the cracks of the legal system.

Given how Season 4 ends, it's not realistic to expect someone to stop at that point.

Just know that once the quality begins to nosedive it doesn't come back up.
