the movie was full of :wtf: moments, only enjoyed the end, the first 2/3 of the movie was corny as fukk

if there was so may monsters at their disposal, why didn't they [the creators/writers] pick something more entertaining than zombies, shyt was boring, and i LOVE zombie flicks

That was the whole point for the beginning. Everybody makes zombie everything and they even said when they were betting something along the lines of "whats the point of betting, it always winds up being zombies anyway"

Every single action the 5 kids take during the first half of the movie is purposely the garbage typically found in horror movies. That's where they flip the script for the last half/30 minutes.

This movie is dope to me, very creative. I caught a lot of shyt on the 2nd watch that I missed the first time.

YES. Your 2nd watch is even better IMO. You'll catch on to so many more winks and head nods as well as better development for the 5 kids. You'll better catch their characteristics before reaching the cabin and how the cabin subtly forced their characteristics to align with the corny cliche.

Anyone saying the acting was corny or the first half is corny - that's ultimately the point

Loved it in the theater, I'll check it out again soon, funny/smart more then tense/scary, they could have tightened up some elements, but overall, really fun movie. Hilarious too, when they were first investigating the basement, I was cracking up. All the little moments in horror movies you watch and say to yourself, "I'd never do THAT shyt, wtf were they thinking'? they touched on.

If people don't like the movie they don't like the movie but I swear 90% of the people I either see on here, or talk to in real life that don't like it obviously didn't understand anything about it.

I actually had a dude tell me "I wish it could've been the zombie family the whole movie"....it's like....you are the Ancient Ones in the movie....the lab geeks are the writers....and they'd like to toss in a merman or a Hellraiser looking dude but you motherfukkers want to see the same shyt over and over again....that's why it showed the generic "Ring/Grudge" ghost in Japan. People want the same shyt over and over and they throw a fit (end the world) if they don't get it.

basically. I feel the movie was pretty much a satirical view or the horror genre. I mean look at the characters...we had the sweet innocent chick, the jock, the whore...and even though they didn't really throw it out there, the token nergo

the movie itself is the director/writers sacrifice in that its such a change from the normal formula

I wish the kills by the zombies were a little better though. Still, great film. Want sequel. Now.
