big time crazy album, definitely a moment for sure. it was also crazy to see how this hit in juxtaposition to kanye, i just remember being taken into two completely different worlds by this and late registration, they both were crazy
One of those albums everybody in the club loves singing along to. The WHOLE ALBUM. If you know you know.

For those of you that love comparing jeezy to ti n gucci, neither one of those cats even has anything close to Thug Motivation
ehh, while they was all these ATL "trap" peers, i can't fully put TI in the same bucket. and Urban Legend is the same tier IMO. UL was raw ass production, some of TI's best rapping, huge songs/a moment as well. i vividly remember UL and The Carter running fall 04 (and spring 05 for UL)

It's dope how Jeezy's adlibs we're on Kanye's you can't tell me nothing.

I never got into T.I much other than whatever you like and Touch Down with Em.

T.I is legit in what he talks about. I know that.

It’s been a minute since I bumped this but this thread makes me want to go back and listen. Interesting you say you’re using this as reference. I always use 2001 as my go to reference album but let’s see how this holds up

Yeah, I haven't used it as a mix reference yet but I plan to.

That and Billie Elish's first album with the bed on the cover. That's great next level mixing.

I'm in album mode now lining things up. Going to mix soon.

It's dope you mix as well. I respect that. You know the art of it.

A certified classic and cultural shift. I know there were others before him but this felt like the true trapper turned rapper moment. I was young and around this time I was more into lyrical rappers but this is where I started appreciating lyrics that were direct and simple. We don't even need to talk about the adlibs because I think this album made everybody start paying more attention to adlibs.

And adlibs take way more work.

Alot of people stopped doing adlibs.

I appreciate those that do record adlibs still.

Where The Grass Is Blue
My JBL monitor speakers.

I've yet to hear it in a car.

To whoever put me on to The first Trap or Die mixtape on another post - that's a dope album too.
That should be a crime:scust:

Listening to this album in a car, especially one with a dope ass system, will put you on another level:blessed:

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
One criticism on ur review. Going in on Adlibs dont require THAT much extra work brodie. Especially if the adlibs are static. U can plug them shyts in. Other than that. Dope review bro. Nice breakdown.
