In the movie knowing who Jules was dude maybe also felt he could be in deep shyt by not helping. Going on a racial tirade however is not very realistic. Unless he thought that was the only way to truly show how frustrated the whole situation was. But it just exposed him as a racist. Not sure why QT went that route.
But also remember Jimmy seemed more concerned about getting a divorce than going to jail.
I honestly think WP are a lot more racist than people give them credit for. I think the n word is used a lot more in conversations when BP aren't around than you'd think.
I always seen it as him giving a realistic portrayal of how WP actually talk (think) when BP aren't around.
The character was married to a BW and is good friends with a BM. As you say, his biggest concern was losing his wife. He clearly fukks with BP heavy. I just see it as, in his stressed state, his inner racist came out ie displaying that all WP are racist even when they fukk with BP heavy.
Is QT racist, yes. But he's an honest racist and puts WP on blast along with himself.
