In defense of the movie, Will Smith had the role first but turned it down.

TBH I think he would have done better. Reeves is much flatter in his acting IMO.

For me Reeves carried a lil too much chill about being "the one" in some situations. Although, his flatness helped in the curious and confused moments.

Can't change it now - until A.I. comes in.
