let's not act like this Clippers team wasn't deeply flawed
Breh... how would you describe the rosters that Melo's been on?
For starters, if you are saying that CP3 and Melo are one and the same...that's a knock on Melo. A 6'8 250 lb forward has no business being comparable to 6'0, 190 lb PG. That said, I love the gymnastics that go on when Melo and CP3 are brought up. Suddenly the east ain't so bad. Suddenly winning 50 games and losing in the 1st or 2nd round is comparable to missing the playoffs entirely. It's the playoffs, and no one is talking about Melo (because he's not playing) and nikkas stay bringing him up to try to shyt on nikkas that the actually made the playoffs talking bout "bu...but...but ya'll shytting on Melo for doing the same". No...Melo isn't doing the same. Melo is at home because he couldn't get his team in the top half of the "leastern" conference for the 4th straight year. Bu...bu...but teammates. Look at the squads George and Butler dragged to the playoffs this year. Look at some of the teams that have finished higher than the Knicks the last 4 years. Say Melo is unfairly criticized only to be even more unfair to someone else brehs.
Damn, actually, most of this was actually compelling.
The thing is thought, CP3 is clearly the more complete player, and individual who everyone would concede impacts his entire team in more ways than Melo can. The size difference is actually irrelevant. SO on that point, I disagree with it's relevance.
Regarding Melo being at home because
he couldn't get his team to the playoffs - I mean, if we look at his stats, he's been pretty consistent. Whether that's a negative or positive, we know what we get with him. I always think about Lebron - who's head and shoulders better than Melo - literally have to go super-saiyan to make it competitive when he had Shump/J.R as his no.2 and no. 3 options, respectfully, when Love/Kyrie were unavailable for the finals. That literally was Melo's no.2/no.3 options for most of his Knicks tenure post 50 win season.
I'm a Melo fan, but just trying to be objective.
