most of the current teams are just random pairings. but

Not really...

Kane/Bryan is (I guess) a random pairing... but nobody said anything when The Rock n Sock Connection or Booker & Goldust happened, so...

Same for Mysterio/Sin Cara, especially since I think that one has a storyline in motion for it already... no different than Los Guerreros or Eddie/Mysterio for that matter.

The rest are Prime Time Players, Primo/Epico, The Usos, Kidd & Gabriel... this Sandow/Rhodes team probably won't run long, but that's about the only one.

Also, nothing wrong with pairing up wrestlers who may not have originally been a tag team. Worked good enough for these teams:

When the tag champs main event one of the main programs you know the division has been revived.

Yep. Team Hell No! main-eventing last Friday against the Rhodes Scholars led to one of the most entertaining Smackdown endings of the year.

Thoroughly entertained, so far.

WWE announced during last night's Smackdown taping that a tag team tournament will take place to determine the new #1 contender's to the WWE Tag Titles. The following are the first round bouts:

-Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow vs. The Usos

-Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Epico and Primo

-Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel vs. Zack Ryder and Santino Marella

-The Prime Time Players vs. Kofi Kingston and R-Truth

Have to figure it will be PTP Vs Cara & Mysterio in the finals

So when all these legit tag teams actually get some exposure, it's gonna be in a Loss to the randomly put together tag teams

Thing to is, while they may be throwing teams together now, the focus is on actually creating teams, so you know in the future they're gonna be debuting tag teams out the gate together.

The Rhodes Scholars got that tournament sewn up breh.

Ascension is waiting on that call up and McGillicutty/Dirty Curty should be in the tournament. Once the Kings of Wrestling get put back together it's gonna be trouble.

I'm happy that tag team wrestling has a place back in the E, but the key will be how long will the tag team revolution last after the straps leave D-Bry and Kane. I know they are being used as the catalysts to get this thing started up, but will it carry on. Also now with the focus on the tag titles will the IC and US titles be thrown in the bushes?

Nevermind they was thrown in the bushes a long time ago.
