So Goku is currently getting stomped out. Is it finally time for Vegeta to shine?

I'm sure he'll be the hero this time. It's been building up the past couple chapters and Vegeta's officially a good guy now with no more baggage or hang-ups.

If Toriyama doesn't pull the trigger here, he never will.

This is what Toriyama has been doing with Vegeta's character since the beginning of Z

Vegeta will swoop in and have slight sucess, swing his dikk around for a bit, only to be cut down to size shortly after.

It's a never ending cycle. Why stop now :beli:

I mean during Z, Vegeta either was a bad guy himself (or at the very least selfishly motivated), had a hand in the main villain becoming stronger, and because of those and my aforementioned point in my post above, it wasn't thematically sound for him to ever win during the run.

Post-Buu Saga is a different story. He honestly should've killed Frieza in RoF because it was build up for him. There was some backstory and legitimate motivation there. Like that arc, I would say the same is happening here and it's only logical that Vegeta gets the W, because otherwise... what was the point? I'm not even the biggest Vegeta fan and it would :gucci: me if Toriyama doesn't do the logical thing here.

They did him dirty with that frieza shyt. He literally had him dead to rights and boom they retcon shyt literally to give Goku that W. They went outta their way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory:mjlol:

Lol this EXACT troupe is used for Vegeta in every single DBZ/Super Arc to date.

1. Vegeta get a power up
2. Vegeta gets cocky\arrogant
3. Vegeta loses
4. Everyone else has to clean up his mess.

Every single Arc and even some have it multipe times in the same Arc.

The build up and hope shouldn't be centered on if Vegeta will get a W this time. It should be how he's gonna fukk it up this time.

Oh, I figured I'd just drop this straight from the horse's mouth :heh:

“Out of all the enemies, Piccolo Daimaō is the one I like most, and even after that I like Piccolo the most. I like Piccolo about the same as I like Goku,” Toriyama said. “With Vegeta, well, I don’t like him all that much, but he was extremely helpful to have around.”

The creator of franchise doesn't fukk with Vegeta :dead:

And the way he's written Vegeta is proof.

They did Vegeta dirty regardless. Even if he got the official W against Frieza, it would have been a devalued W because Goku already had him beat before Sorbet interfered and hit him with the laser beam.

Just like how he would have beaten Android 19 if it wasn't for the heart virus.

If Toriyama wanted Vegeta to make a real impact, he'd have Goku actually lose to these guys clean and then have Vegeta come through and beat them. Then his Ws would be a whole lot more meaningful. But since he's openly stated he doesn't like Vegeta, that's never going to happen :mjlol:
