Manga has the same faults, the z fighters should've be able to handle meros gang without goku recusing them.It sucks DBS potential is held back by writingSo many animes have lapped them due to writing solely and actually character development.

Krillin had enough control of his emotions to listen to Swagarot and spare Vegeta
If he pulled the trigger and killed Vegeta then there's no Future Trunks, Goku dies from the virus since there's no warning, and earth gets wiped out by the AndroidsKrillin really fukked around saved the entire show
In a way, Vegeta repaid Krillin by reviving him after Frieza killed him
Bulma and the gang didn't think they could revive him, because King Kai told them Porunga would bring him back to Namek if he was wished back since that's where he died. But Namek was destroyed. Vegeta was the one that told them to wish Krillin to Earth's check in station so they would be able to bring him back to Earth. If not for Vegeta, Krillin wouldn't have been brought back.

This is where Yu Yu Hakusho, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and Jojo’s were low key better than DB, they didn’t make everyone useless except for the main character. They actually let other characters shine.

Frieza is basically the embodiment of evil in DBZ/S and the writers keep giving him a pass because he's "popular". There is absolutely no reason why Frieza should be left alive and yet they just let him go and do his own thing.
Frieza has done nothing to atone for his sins and whiss giving him is life back made absolutely no sense. This also brings me to my next issue with DBS... who the fukk needs dragon balls when you literally have gods and angels in your corner than can revive, give birth and even reverse time on a whim.
Beerus, the other GoDs and eventually the Angels should have been the villains throughout all of DBS.
I like the concept of an undercover angel giving Goku, Vegeta and everyone else the skills needed to be able to overcome the power hungery GoDs and Angels. They should just rolled with that and the series would have been better for it.
But its seems like they've written themselves into a corner because even Moros doesn't come off as threatening as he should be when you literally have the most powerful beings in the universe setting you up for success.
