I like the new Madden but I still don't think any football game has delivered a better overall product than 2k5.

Solid game this year...i was about to give up on the franchise all together...but this one is legit. They eliminated a lot of the BS and focused on bringing quality to game play and presentation. Best one in years...
Damn man, I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed weird shyt in this game ... particularly from the defensive side of the field.
I've played football my whole life, so miss me with that "only lames care about this" bullshyt. There are two major flaws when it comes to Madden games of this gen - the unrealistic physics and the god-awful AI. In my opinion, the AI in this game is what really kills it.
In Versus video, yeah, Mike Vick and Macklin probably should not have caught themselves and kept running at the 3:30 and 7:30 marks, respectively. What I think is a thousand times more annoying is ... First, look at about the 3:37 mark. Vick is stumbling a bit over Jenkins, but what is the other AI defender, Carr, doing? He has a chance to wrap up and make sure Vick goes down, but instead he runs in the opposite direction and allows Vick to turn, and run upfield for additional yards. When and why would that ever happen in a football game??? I'm surprised Versus didn't mention or notice that. I can't tell you how many times I've seen defenders run away from the ball carrier, or take the weirdest route to get to the ball carrier. The criss-crossing DB's, and blitzing LB clips speak for themselves.
Listen, I'll give credit where credit's due. I think, for the most part, tackles look great in this game. Connected Careers looks really fun and interesting. Seems they finally took my advice (lol) and merged elements of NFL Head Coach into NFL Madden. But in the core gameplay -- in the trenches where it really matters, too often I see wonky shyt. Hopefully in the next few years, EA can improve upon the physics engine and take out some of these bugs.

I now personally view this game as unplayable...and yeah I own the game.
People are being fooled by graphics (which themselves are suspect, are these nikkas made of spaghetti or what).
I've rebooted my M12 and is playing piff franchise mode, even tho M12 had issues...it's light years ahead of 13.
The NFL should sue EA for creating this bullshyt.
Fans should be mad they spent $65 on a game that is nowhere near complete.
EA needs to be slapped for attempting to make everyone a online gamer...which is what they actually aim to do.

Its not about refusing to acknowledge the flaws of Madden. Its lames who don't play Madden relying on youtube video's to speak on the actual game.
You see, I can pull up youtube video's of probably any game showing a flaw/glitch/whatever.
What the actual madden players are saying is all this shyt is NOT HAPPENENING WHEN WE PLAY.

They are playing it and enjoying it. I grew up on Madden.. I'm sure most of us did.
Nobody who grew up on Madden is saying "Look.. I been playing this game for 10/20yrs.. but now I can't play it cuz I can't edit socks... or cuz a fukkin youtube video says bad things about it"

And yeah I've been playing Madden since it started and this is the FIRST year I will say I can't do nothing with it. Is it the worst ever made...actually no. But what happened is I've become accustomed to a certain level of competence and now EA is trying to regress.
It's like a motherfukka having you drive a 500 Benz and then taking that away and giving you a dayum Ford Focus. The Focus might be newer and shinier....but it doesn't have the plush of the Benz.

I have Madden 13 on the PS Vita and its pretty good for a portable game. It plays very well, even though its Madden 12.5. It looks very good graphically, has some slow down in the menus and on screen display transition, but a solid 30fps when playing the game. This is the first madden I have bought since 09.
I will not buy Madden on a console until I see them fix all the fukked AI issues and horrible animations be it running or tackling that shyt looks ridiculous.
