yeah i know it's going to be a while, even at this point the houses aren't even going for cheap anymore based on the past few auctions. i was mainly speaking on long term investments if one is able. there a couple white cats i used to work with that straight up purchased property in the hood and stay in those houses. The cat that mentioned the college kids/younger adults is correct, more so near or in downtown, but slooooooowly but surely the hood as well.
that's a part of the plan to reverse the urban sprawl that happened years ago, most of Southfield these days is just an extension of Detroit and will only get worse. next thing you know Detroit will be what the burbs is supposed to be.
