So Democrats are using the IRS to target conservative and Tea Party groups

The thing is, the IRS was investigating those groups because a ton of them had filed for 501(c)(4) status. Someone had to investigate them to either approve or deny their request. Also, from my understanding, none of the organizations were denied in the end. This means the real scandal is about how broad (and misused) our 501(c)(4) status is, as well as how under-supervised it is.
