Not at all. Supreme is the hypebeast craze and has been for a few years now. I never knew Supreme was/is as old as it was until such as yourself would make comments like you just made

the nike, north face, etc collabs certainly help their appeal.

Nah, Supreme is the premier brand of the skateboarding industry IMO. They've been around since 1994 and continue as a skate brand. It was and still is A SKATE SHOP at the end of the day, their clothes have been really hyped since the first Nike SB collab back in 2002. Even on ebay back in 2004/2005 it was kind of hard to get a hold of.

The reason they do so well so because other than their stores and their online shop, it is literally impossible to get their apparel anywhere else. They don't give out accounts to other retail stores or skateshops or karmaloop. That's why I respect them.

Yea growing up in the DMV it's really sad to see how foams have been b*stardized. I was just having a convo with one of my man's older brother who was one of the biggest sneakerheads I've known. Maybe you can chalk it up to him being more mature but even he said he had to bow out the game a couple years ago.

Seriously, other regions claiming the shyt out of our style with the Pennys/Jordans/Nike Boots/Northface shyt. A lot of vet collectors been forced out cuz all these trend hoppers buying shyt up with bots on websites or make the pursuit at the mall worse than it ever was. Its one of the things I hate about today, everything is on some trendy follower shyt.

Im like ya'll nikkas got it fukked up. So shyt automatically isn't considered heat because it's a GR. and you wonder why you're paying 5k for some Yeezy's. They aren't real sneakerheads IMO.

I remember I would go through GRs, Quickstrike releases, discount racks at Footlocker, I would drive out to places like Gabriel brothers and outlet stores, skate shops, overseas shops like Size and JD Sports when I would go out to the UK (cause they would have the EU exclusive releases), rakuten.co.jp (the japanese exclusives are some heat..), and boutiques. THey only buy what the websites are hyping up, they only buy what they see their favorite rapper wearing, they don't understand the sneaker game.

I wouldn't say I'm on the level of the obsessiveness of the niketalk crowd (that know production dates, serial numbers on the boxes) but I'm no spring chicken when I'm on my sneaker grind.

They'll even sleep on other brands of sneakers until they are hyped. That's why the Asics and NB resurgence has my mind boggled.

SMH @ The sneaker game....these are wack. And showcases true trendhoppers and hypebeasts. Kids weren't even feeling foams like that, but just cause Supreme does a collab version, all of them are jocking these. Now they will be constantly going through the hands of resellers on ebay and inflated prices at flight club..

I respect the hustle...they did it cause they can at this point.
