Kobe averaging 30/5/5 at 34 years old on 48% from the field. Only dudes that are arguably better than him right now are Bron and KD. Other than that, there is NO ARGUMENT for anyone else.

The fact this man can still be in the discussion for best player in the league at age 34 when all his contemporaries are either out of the league (AI/T-Mac) or irrelevant (Vince) just goes to show you the GREATNESS of Kobe Bryant. When his career is over people will realize that he was AT WORST the second greatest player of all time.

if you watch the game, you will see people let kobe have it his way to concentrate on howard...

better take a dude gonig for 60-70fg% out then the one going for 35-50% .. plus the effect that Kobe mentaly take his teammates out of the game by ignoring thier positions unless he is about to get stolen on.....for the x time during the game...

I am impress with his shooting success this season... but.. i will wait and see if it doesnt end like last season.

I've seen some of the stupidest reasoning from people trying to explain away how good kobe's been so far this year too (that 30pt 5 and 5 on .600 TS% have no impact on the game or the new one I just saw, is only because teams are conceding it all in effort to stop a less than 100% career 18ppg scorer Dwight Howard...that kobe's scoring more effienctly than this year) why do people have such a hard time just giving it up to one of the greatest to play the game...especially this late in the game...i'll never understand it

Of course not. I remember having to argue with nikkaz all day about this in my High School back in Miami. No one who knows basketball has ever thought Wade was better, or even as good, as Kobe Bryant.

Nah, not better than Kobe. He's just not the one who should be taken off of that list, Rose should.
