So can we finally admit that 50 cent had the best entrance into hip hop of all time??

I mean, that shyt was honestly unheard of. The way everyone was goin crazy when 50 came out with wanksta, but than when people were anxious to hear his follow up song and finally he drops in da club, and instantly the radio starts goin crazy playin it everywhere. How many other artists have ever done that?? if u remember this time, u remember that 50 cent was just HUGE... EVERYWHERE... i feel as if he was bigger than eminem impact wise because his music was more serious and u took him more serious overall. Theres never been an artist before or after 50 cent that came out and did what he did the way he did with get rich or die trying. Is this an undisputable fact? the only other rapper close was snoop dogg in 1992 but that still didnt impact the culture as tough as get rich or die trying did in my opinion.

We in here (What)
We can get the drama popping
We don't care (What, what, what)
It's going down (What)
'Cause I'm around (What)
50 Cent, you know how I gets down (Down)

[Chorus: repeat 2X]
What up, Blood? (What)
What up, Cuz? (What)
What up, Blood? (What)
What up, Gangstaaa?

They say I walk around like got an "S" on my chest
Naw, that's a semi-auto, and a vest on my chest
I try not to say nothing, the DA might want to play in court
But I'll hunt or duck a nikka down like it's sport
Front on me, I'll cut ya, gun-butt ya or bump ya
You getting money? I can't none with ya then fukk ya
I'm not the type to get knocked for D.W.I.
I'm the type that'll kill your connect when the coke price rise
Gangstas, they bump my shyt then they know me
I grew up around some nikkas that's not my homies
Hundred G's I stash it (what), the mack I blast it (yeah)
D's come we dump the diesel and battery acid
This flow's been mastered, the ice I flash it
Chokes me, I'll have your mama picking out your casket, b*stard
I'm on the next level, bright ring bigot bezzle
Benz pedal to the metal, hotter than a tea kettle, blood (what)

[Chorus (1st time w/o first "What up, Blood?") (2x)]

[Bridge]
We don't play that
We don't play that
We don't play that (G-Unit)
We don't play around

I sit back, twist the best bud, burn and wonder
When gangstas bump my shyt, can they hear my hunger?
When the 5th kick, duck quick, it sounds like thunder
In December I'll make your block feel like summer :youngsabo:
The rap critics say I can rhyme, the fiends say my dope is a nine
Every chick I fukk with is a dime:youngsabo:
I'm like Patty LaBelle, homie, I'm on my own
Where I lay my hat is my home, I'm a rolling stone
Cross my path I'll crush ya, thinking I won't touch ya
I'll have your ass using a wheelchair, cane, or crutches:youngsabo:
Industry hoe fukk us, in the hood they love us
Stomp a bone out your ass with some brand new chuckas

Last week, his album, ''Get Rich or Die Trying,'' became the highest-selling first album on a major label since Nielsen SoundScan began tabulating record sales in 1991.

The album sold 872,000 copies in the first four days after its release nine days ago. It replaced the rapper Snoop Dogg's album, ''Doggystyle,'' which sold 803,000 copies during its first week out in 1993.

Yeah, nikkas hate now but 50 had shyt on lock. That whole gimmick was unheard of in hiphop and Interscope rode the hell out of that wave. nikkas were talking like 50 was the second coming of Pac and the way he shytted on Murder Inc. was crazy.

A Mississippi Cotton Field
mainstream it was the perfect storm.

real life gangsta gets shot 9 times, signs with Dre and Em to rap about it.

not to mention the HUGE buzz dude built for himself and GUnit with his mixtapes.

Anyway some good answers in here all around. Snoop & DMX both come to mind but in no way has any artist ever came close to 50 Cent's entrance into THE MAINSTREAM. Capitalized for those of yall being silly talking about How To Rob and such.
