I know a woman who moved to the DC area from Orlando and she has a couple 9 year old huskies. Their coat protects them from warm weather just as well as it does from cold. U just need to have a place where they can cool down in case they overheat. The adjust well to their surrounding after about a year. In warmer weather after they blow their coat it will grow back thinner to help with the overheating. Just like in cold weather it grows very thick to keep them warm.

I love all kinds of dogs. Mutts are the best, though. Simply because they are the healthiest. They can still come out beautiful no doubt.

I've had my husky for a year and a half. It's a female so it's only about 50 lbs which is good because I keep her inside my house mostly. Worse part about my dog is the shedding. No matter how much you brush her there is always hair coming off. And when she blows her coat shyt is ridiculous. If you do decide to get one make sure you have time to play with it.
