Except this isn't exclusive to black churches. This is pretty much Christians supporting a business that was willing to take a stand against redefining traditional marriage.

When it comes down to it, NONE of those political parties really care for you.

I think ur post is backwards.

But either way, you think all those black people in that picture voted for McCain?

Please see the above.

How does that answer my question? You're trying to get at those people for the chicken eating stereotype and just perpetuated another stereotype in the process. What does a company that funds opponents of Obama have to do with black people? I could be wrong, but that appears to be a church. That in and of itself would explain the support for Chick-fil-A.

One tries to do more than the other though. Because one doesnt give you everything you want doesnt mean you should just dismiss the entire system as a whole.

Never said it was, and obviously we know it's not given the coverage it's gotten.

To me, it's just a business talking tough ala George Bush to get ppl riled up and even more "patriotic" at an opportune time.

Some people eat at Chic-fil-a solely b/c of Chick-fil-a's religious views. This only strengthens their customer base.

Christians went to SUPPORT Chik Fil-A after homosexuals and their supporters attempted to boycott and even attempted to have it banned from cities (Chicago and Boston) Chik Fil-A due to the owner standing behind traditional marriage... so black churches do what churches of other races did and stood in support of the company, and this turns into something about black people eating chicken and being ignorant?

c'mon man, you know there's always undertones to everything.

If you saw a picture of 20 black ppl holding watermelons on the internet, you don't think anything of it at all?

Heres an article more indepth.

So now we're gladly taking pictures showing us happily (eating) chicken?

We're supporting a business that is clearly to the right and sends large funds to Republican candidates opposite Obama?

So now we've made it, so now we can discriminate against other people who arent directly bother us at all?

I have no problem eating Chick-fil-a whether the person who fixed my sandwhich is gay or straight, and I dont care what their views are as a company.

Too much foul sh*t going on in the world for people to be wastin time over mess like this.

If nothing else it shows that black folks aren't going to be zombified by one party.

It's ok to think outside the box........................:shaq:

 that it took fried chicken and gay marriage for black folks to support a Republican/conservative talking point.......I think alot of blacks have been confused about what BHO has been supporting with this issue....I mean you have the interests groups of the 1st "black prez, Democratic Party, the black church/preachers, LGBT trends/marriage, and here in N.C. the amendment.......all those actors and the "black frame of mind" honing in on this issue forced people to really have to see what they were made of............how "independent thinking" are you really could go in many directions with this issue......

Hence, this picture shows that MANY black folks did not support BHO's position with this, but were afraid to speak out, and hence it took fried chicken to give them the quiet resolve to show their support for traditional marriage since much of the black church has been all over the place with their views on this in the past 4 months or so.....

Fried chicken yall............................. :lolbron:

where is this myth that black people are liberals come from? when I say black folks are conservative I get hit with the :comeon:

.....Again this goes to my point about not being a zombie and thinking outside of a predisposed box, expected of you to be in................

Liberal viewpoints...............marijuana legalization/decrimininalization for instance.....is actualy a liberal (modern view) and libertarian issues that they both tend to support or at least large elements of these groups that sometimes merge together on issues.......

If BHO said he supported MJ legalization/decriminalizatoin how would the black church and black folks in general react???.....considering all the blacks locked up/with records and those that work in jobs where locking up MJ users actually pays their salaries...

You see what I'm saying........that zombie thinking has fallacies in it and is complex..........

I voted for Obama and probably will again, but this mindset is much more ignorant than some black folk eating chicken. Why are black people and Obama synonymous to you exactly? Black people are actually capable of having their own unique political ideals.
the same reason west virginia democrats voted for an incarcerated felon over Obama in their primary. Circling the wagons is a pretty good strategy in tribal warfare.
