Lol. Prime Tyson beats both Foreman and Lewis

There's a fight I always tell people to watch who doubt Tyson really was a unique hw and it's the fight against James bonecrusher Smith. think it was his first defence after he won the title

Not a glamorous fight in the sense it's a ko in the 3rd, but it puts paid to the notion Tyson didn't have stamina (went 12 rds) and it's one of the most devastating complete performances I've ever seen from a hw fighter. 5m highlights just poetry in motion

Bonecrusher Smith is a jourmeyman and not on the level of ATGs like Lewis and Holyfield.

He had already been beaten 5 times before losing to Tyson. Again, Tyson lost to the two biggest names on his resume. Both Holyfield and Lewis have fought (and beaten) more quality opponents than Tyson; the former beating the man who this thread is about. :dead: Not to mention that he got KO'd/TKO'd by both. Foreman is one of the most durable fighters of all time. Tyson threw everything at Holyfield and had nothing. Foreman would mop him up.

Tyson is on some Wilt Chamberlain benching 500 lbs ish when it comes to discussing with his fans.:mjlol:

Tell me Foreman and Lewis would have been able to cope with that Tyson
I think Lewis wins any time period. long jab, can fight backing up, plus sparred when they were teens so he knew what mike was capable of.

Foreman has no defense. Yeah mike struggled a bit with bigger guys, but there has to be a method to what your doing. Foreman just walks forward and bullies opponents, but he so wide open. Mike would catch him before he catches Mike.

In 89 I could understand that. Tyson hadn't fallen off yet and George was just coming back.

Around 95, 96 it was the opposite. Mike wanted know parts of Lennox Lewis at that time (still too rusty from prison) and Big George was another bad matchup for Mike. Mike wasn't the defensive fighter he was pre-prison and Foreman was slow but could still crack. The fight woulda looked like Foreman vs. Frazier IMO.

The N.O
These 2 of my top 5 fav fighters
In both primes(with cus in corner) Tyson speed and footwork would've been a bit much for George. George would've landed his shots though

Young George's technique was very underrated. It may have looked unskilled but there was a method to his madness. Very old school style the way he hits the arms and shoulders and pushes the opponent into punching range.

Any real boxer with experience will tell you speed isn't everything. That's why Lomacheno disposed of Gary Russell with ease and Russell is one of the fastest boxers on the planet

George steam rolled everybody and damn near had Ali. George lost because he tired himself out.
Mike would've went toe to toe with George and got knocked out

George would not have beat Tyson. George was slow and clunky. His punch of choice were hooks to the body. After he punished your body, that same slow hook to the body is know aimed at your head. Mike being an inside fighter can shoot off hook to the head much quicker that would make foreman think about those slow, telegraphed body shots.

George been fighting faster people all his life. Was Ali not fast?

Maybe not old George who would've lost by points. But young George?

Ali was the fastest nikka George fought and he was sort of washed at the time. You telling me Mike wasn’t faster than that?

not a good example.

Bonecrusher was a journeyman with a cool nickname. He stayed getting his ass beat. Even Marvin Frazier out pointed him. Foreman was a all time great that only got knocked down once in 80 fights

Ali wasn't washed. He slowed down but he was still fast. He should have retired after that fight like he said he would. It was his last masterpiece.

IMO Tyson was quick and hit from really unusual angles was able to generate power from his lower body better than most heavys in history. Mike wasn't taking that constant abuse and pushing from George. He couldn't even put up with Holyfields headbutts. George would also lean all his weight on you so he could absorb some of those inside uppercuts. Look up his fights. That big breh was impossible to knock down. Ali only knocked him down because he was gassed in 100 degree Africa and punched himself out

Did you see that Ali vs Foreman fight? Ali was up against the ropes the whole fight waiting for George to get tired. Ali didn't use his speed in that fight.

:why: Was that a real question?

Was this nikka in his prime when he fought Foreman?

Do you nikkas even read :mjlol:

This why i need to stick to these discussions with cats in The Ring maybe. Ali was the fastest Foreman ever fought and that wasn’t even young Ali or even the prime Ali that you posted in your vid:mjlol:

So you think Mike wasn’t just as fast as an older Ali when Mike was in his prime?
