Bout time. Many of our nation's top entrepreneurs have been advocating this because their research showed that companies could still save just as much manufacturing here as they do overseas. It has more to do with reinventing or adjusting in house supply chain then it does paying workers little to nothing.

This is great news for the U.S., specifically whichever communities will host these factories.

They will lose money in comparison to outsourcing BUT it may be worth it in terms of public relations.

Well at least Cook is not being like Jobs... for good or bad he's not trying to follow his footsteps. which is what Jobs told him to do before he passed.:sadbron:

Good for America.

Real talk...I fukks wit Samsung HEAVY but I'll buy an Apple "Made In America" product to support the cause. But I'll never buy an American made car tho :scusthov:. At least not until the year 2020. Round that time the government shoulda been done increase quality regulations on them shytty-ass cars.

that's a good move by apple, they have the best quality products so doing this would only increase that which would appeal to the hipster crowd even more and they'll even get more people who's willing to pay for made in America products, who knows they might even start a trend here with some manufacturers :leon:

Yup

Technology and manufacturing have gotten to a point its cheap to produce an item anywhere in the world. Manufacturers used to have a 50% savings building merchandise overseas and now down to only 5%
