Simple fact is, ask many black people what their favorite movie is? You'll get either some "Friday" shyt, or some other comedy, possibly gangster movie.

Many black people can't appreciate Sci fi. Says it doesn't make sense, doesn't deal in reality too them.

If you don't believe me, just ask most of the people against it what their favorite is.
