:snoop:

I'm saying that you can not point at the colts running game for reason that Luck stats are not as good as Griffin or Wilson

Once agian to compare Luck to Wilson is assinine dude throws for 150 yards a lot of games and relies on a running game and great defense the same thing the Jets did with Sanchez a few years back

Yes he does

Leads the league in interceptions, pick sixes, and bottom five in QBR

Andrew Luck does not have TERRIBLE stats this season...that assertion is asinine.

He's on pace to throw for nearly 4700 yards this season. He turns the ball over too much, but his stats surely are not TERRIBLE and he compares favorably to Peyton's rookie campaign.

The yardage means little...he's top 5 in attempts. Any semi-competent QB with that many attempts is going to rack up yardage.

And FYI Peyton's rookie year was ASS. Just because it was Peyton putting up those numbers doesn't make it good.

he compares favorably to Peyton's rookie campaign.

favorably is the wrong word.

Peyton's ranking in the completion percentage was actually middle of the pack his rookie season compared to Luck being at the bottom.

Peyton's TD percentage was higher too and ranked higher.

Peyton also has a better passer rating.

Luck beats Payton on ypa and yardage and interception percentage, but thats pretty much it.

And even in interception percentage, Peyton was 28th in 1998 vs Luck being 31st.

Exactly, and he's a rookie dropping back and throwing all those times.

4700 yds ain't terrible, no matter how you try to spin it.

Manning was 326/575 (56.7%) for 3739 yds (6.50 Y/A) 26 Tds and 28 ints and a 71.2 rating
Luck's on pace for 363/661 (54.9%) for 4667 tds (7.06 Y/A) 22 tds and 21ints and a 74.5 rating

Looks pretty similar to me...

The last rookie that I can remember throwing this much was Sam Bradford
354/590 (60%) for 3512 tds (5.95 Y/A) 18 tds and 15 ints and a 76.5 rating and a rookie of the year trophy.

So I'm gonna need someone to explain how Luck's stats are TERRIBLE.

You looking at the number how they are instead of looking at the context.

Peyton's number ranked higher in a lot of categories vs. Luck, most pronounced is the completion percentage and TD percentage and TDs.

And Peyton's numbers his rookie season were ASS, just like Luck's numbers are ass when compared to the rest of the league.

But that doesnt mean dude sucks, far from it. It just means he is a rookie QB.

Dog, they're comparable, why the hell are you trying to argue otherwise. You're grasping at straws.

4700 ain't ass. No fukking way.

Peyton Manning NFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com

Andrew Luck NFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com

They look HELLA similar. Luck already been sacked 32 times :why:

He's gonna have over 600 passing attempts this year should he stay healthy :damn:
I was looking at how they ranked in comparison to the rest of the league.

NFL passing in 2012 is not the same as it was in 1998.

I didnt say they werent comparable, you said Luck's numbers are "FAVORABLE" versus Payton's. They arent. They are only comparable, but Payton wins in some fields versus Luck. Also, you have to take a look at the the season and how the other QB numbers are as well.

4700 yards is a great accomplishment tho. No doubt about it.

I don't think anyone here thinks Andrew Luck 'sucks'. It's very clear dude will be a beast for a long time, but his performance this season does not display a strong argument over the other candidates for rookie of the year.

I'm not comparing the two, i'm just saying their stats are just hella similar that it's weird almost.

Him and RG3 gonna hella sore this off season :sadbron:
two of the worst OLines in the NFL. I already told you about how bad RG3's line is, but Luck's line is horrendous.

Didn't Peyton have Marvin Harrison and Marshall fukkin Faulk his rookie yr?:comeon:

And I'd bet he had a better line.

Its a shame Luck doesn't have a coach to build a system around his strengths like Bob. Arians' system is azz. Only worked in Pitt cuz of the run gm and defense.
