I liked the part where m knight shamalamalam took over directing duties.
I watched the blu ray the other day just for the music and visuals
Hate it or love it i think it will remain in the conversation. No ones even talking about The Martian anymoreI haven't changed shyt if anything I'm leaning more to not liking it for anything but the visuals and the music a year later.

I realize it's still #2 in the box office i guess i meant on here. The thread isn't even on the front page and just got bumped up yesterday after being pretty dead for a while. No one where breh lol..it's still killing it at the box office and will more than likely be talked about in a few months when we get into awards season. Let's let it cook before we decide a few weeks after its release that "no one talks about it anymore" And Interstellar remains in the conversation because I either hear people saying how much they love it or how much they hate it but eventually that will go away too. To me, it's nowhere close as good of a movie as the martian and I know you disagree with that but I just don't see it. From a character standpoint alone it's not the new hotness, it's old and busted. The only time I thought of interstellar when watching the martian was during the previews when the alamo ran that supercut of how many times murph's name is said in the movie

I enjoyed it, but I also think its one of those movies you enjoy while you are peeping it and kinda forget about.
Kinda like the "Spy" movie. I enjoyed that one too but i don't feel either are the 93-94% type movies that they show om RT
I guess agree to disagree breh i know I'm in the minority on interstellar and am a nolan stan but at least he had the balls to try something less safe.
But even 2001 was shyt on at first
Let's not base pop culture chatter and relevance on our film room though. Aside from our Empire thread, walking dead thread and modern family thread, and occasionally some other shows tv related, we rarely talk about the biggest shows on tv from a ratings standpoint. Which is cool and we talk about the shyt we love but if we were really a cultural indicator of what's hot, we'd have a dedicated big bang theory thread every week.
And I haven't forgotten about the martian at all so it's just what affects you at the time. I loved it, thoroughly enjoyed it, and plan on seeing it again. I'll always give a filmmaker props for trying something audacious but that doesn't mean I gotta like the product of their audacity
Well you see how im all over the net too and cast crazy so i feel i always have a pulse on the discussion
As for the bolded, i know your name b
