Young in the west

Cavs
Celtics
Washington
Toronto
Bucks

There are three spots wideeee open

Plus, by the looks of things, we are coming back with essentially the same team which helps chemistry wise and we are actually gonna be playing in a system that doesnt make everyone suck

The east is too bad for us to be bottom of the barrell

Hornets
Heat
76er
And even Detroit are potentially better and have more reasons to go win now than the Knicks.

Just checking in with some quick thoughts after hearing some of the press conference introducing Perry.

I'm gonna try to give the most even tempered, unemotional dump Melo take possible.

He didn't exactly have it fair in NY, he did try to adjust his game (those who actually watch the games will know this) and he never got to play with another player here who was even remotely in his league until KP (who's still just a baby out here)..

But Melo can't be here next year. No matter his attitude or demeanor his mere presence cuts counter to what this team is saying they're trying to do. Melo is too much of a big name, high impact player to not dramatically alter the game when he's on the court, in the locker room, or the building period. Even at his age, he's just too big of a presence, it's not his fault, but there will be a gravitational pull towards him just by him being there that's not gonna be conducive to the young guys imo. He could be on his best behavior and it wouldn't even make a difference. I wouldn't even trust some of these young guys to be around him if he was totally silent and their impression of him was left to their imaginations.

Plus the man just got a divorce. The energy is just not a match.

They gotta get a deal done by any means, the closer we get to October the less I care what we get back. He's gotta go.

Seems like there's a good chance Melo is on the team next year; I don't see how you trade away Melo and not take back a garbage contract or two in the process, just for the sake of matching up salaries. Now the question is, how many wins can a Frank/THjr/Melo/KP/Willy line-up get? Some decent offensive firepower there, but Frank is a rookie and the rest are pretty bad defenders, save for KP who's just decent despite his potential.
We making the offs by default the east is ridiculously garbage

:scust:

I think the East will be better than advertised.
How? Miami only has 2 good players. The hornets best player is 5.10 and the Robin of that team lost minutes to Kristaps humphries and Mike muscular last year, the Bulls best player is lavine, the Pistons only got 3 good players.

The sixers should be nice tho

True but a Knicks "developing" team without Carmelo isn't worth being TV (aside from hardcore Knicks fans who will watch regardless) unless both Frank and KP have monster seasons.

Melo makes the Knicks still one of the biggest draws in the NBA whether he's playing well or like trash.

I don't think anyone outside of NYC would be excited for a line up of

Frank
Hardaway Jr
Random Player
KP
WILLY

These are all guys casual fans don't like can know exist

See this another reason why I am not liking the Knicks. Reason one is Melo the bum but the other is the coli always overrating this team. Every season thread it's our time , rest of the league is trash we Winning a chip because some bum joined the team, the rest of our division is trash and so on.
If this team wins 40 games Melo won't be on it.
At best they win 5 more games than last year. They need to continue losing and getting top draft picks not making the eight seed getting that poster who will say it's the playoffs and anything can happen and the Knicks can beat the cavs and warriors easy. Stop it. They need another year of tanking and younger blue chip prospects.

So are the knicks. :yeshrug:

What sucks is that tank teams in the West are gonna have an easier time bottoming out since they'll play a star a night practically. The East is a minefield, you could go on a winning streak just because you have a homestand and a bunch of bum teams are coming in trying harder to lose than develop guys.

Yeah, I mean the west is definitely brutal. But I'm not worried about the Knicks going on some massive run. The way I look at it: If they finish with a top 8 or so pick again this season, they're looking at adding another high-impact talent.

If they get a pick for Melo, that's one more young guy to the stocks... and then you actually have a young, future-focused team.

I literally can not understand what you mean by this post.

Equally as confusing - I don't know who are the "y'all" that you mean in your attempt to draw attention to your post for a giggle.:mjlol:

You're only making the stereotype funnier with this post. Also funny that you missed the 40 Glocc reference. :dead:

Talking about how tough you have it in the East because it's too easy to win, even when you're trying not to lmao. Hustling backwards my man.

I'll leave this here as a double entendre advice for both you and your franchise, don't ask me how:
