Y'all ain't learn y'all lesson after the Knicks history & this off season.

Time for a full rebuild + assets.

Keeping a disgruntled star who's talent is going to keep you from a full rebuild while the city + media turn on him and blame him for FO incompetence is not the way To go.

Trade him now, get it over with.

Kanter's offensive game is filthy. His defense is absolutely horrendous. But he's also a good rebounder. He's a useful player but completely redundant with Willy and he's older on a pretty big contract. The good news is he'll either be off the books or become the type of expiring contract that you can use in deals.

Lee, KOQ and Lance should all be dealt by the trade deadline. They're solid players on good contracts that playoff teams could make use of and their minutes could be given to all the youth we've got. This squad could really wind up with a top pick in this loaded draft to pair with KP and the rest of these young cats. Yall know I'm high on Ntilikina's potential too. He's another truly unique type of player that opens up a lot of different options to build with and this draft has a really nice cast of intriguing players that could slot in with 'em. I get the sense from the reactions I've seen that most fans are pretty comfortable with the idea of a real rebuild, but I'm nervous how the reaction will be when the actual losing starts. That said, Philadelphia had a promising young team and their fans had no problems with the tank besides wanting more minutes for Embiid. I think it'll be similar with us, especially when they watch a starting five that has a bunch of kids that love the game and have a load of potential.

Philly has done some asinine things in the process of the tank. Hell, they've traded all of the their "building blocks" and this is the year they trade Okafor, more than likely Covington, and possibly entertain trade offers for Simmons. Today's climate isn't really about building for 5 years down the line. It's more f a 3 year window before those players are being shipped. This means they better gel fast

I'm not trying to speak on the way Philly went about it honestly, I think any GM could have traded away good young players in hopes of landing great ones for years the way Hinkie did and I hate that he gets credit like some genius for it. But I'm talking about how their fans handled it. The fans were willing to wait because they knew Embiid, Simmons, Saric, etc. are a stable future; that allowed Hinkie to tank a lot longer than most GM's without hatred from his fan base. The Knicks fanbase will be able to enjoy a season like Philly had last year, where their young players aren't winning many games but are playing hard and showing real potential.
