That season was so amazing to experience. Melo was definitely top 5 that year.

fukk, that feels like it was forever ago. We was lighting it up that season:mjcry:

I still think we would’ve won it all; we had the heats number that year, okc was still a young squad. But too much went wrong; too many injuries in the home stretch, Woodson being stubborn, Jr being a knucklehead, fukking pacers:pacspit:

Melo's career is gonna go down as that Hibbert block being the moment that his peak ended.

pipe dream...but that would be the perfect player to pair with kristaps
athletic young, forward than can play the 4
the injuries would only make this a possibility....unlikely though :manny:

I was super high on Parker until that second knee injury. Not sure I'd want someone with that recent injury history even though Parker was a supremely underrated cog on that Bucks roster especially with Middleton out.

That rumor about Parker sounds plausible enough, I have to imagine Parker's trade value is pretty damn low because of the acl injuries, and he's due for a contract extension at the end of the year, so I think the Bucks will take just about any decent package they can get for him. Trading for Parker would be a big risk admittedly but the payoff is just too tempting for me to pass up. Last year Parker was looking like what I'd imagine Melo would've looked like if he was groomed to play pf from the onset of his NBA career, and I think he's a surefire all-star if he can return to form at some point.

Especially since his game isn't TOO predicated on athleticism. I'd want a protected pick with Parker but even without I'd be very satisfied on a gamble like that for Melo.

I don't like that trade for us, not only is Jabari coming off his 2nd injury but is also going into the season with a contract extension and I know he's gonna want a max contract and there is no way we should risk throwing 100mil at him.

Also, there is no way Melo is waiving his trade clause to play in Milwaukee. It's Houston for Melo or nothing

After seeing how that Noel situation just played out, I don't think he gets anything close to a max next year unless he has an all star type of season. GM's aren't that crazy.

Noel was offered a 4yr 70 mil deal which he turned down, that's what hurt him. Plus he only signed a 1yr qualifying offer, best believe he's gonna sign a max next season.

If healthy, he'd be a nice compliment to a KP at center (though everyone would need to step up on the boards). I really hope he keeps developing his jumper and range, not for the Knicks but just from a fan standpoint. Personally though, off two ACL tears in three years on the same knee, I'd be trying to switch him out for Brogdon even though that's probably how the conversation dies.
