Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Why is Melo so resistant to going to Cleveland? I keep hearing people talk about his 2 year deal, does he lose his ETO if he gets traded? Cause that would be clear indication that Lebron is leaving next summer no?

I don't think the Cavs want him unless they get additional players with him. They'd need a 3rd team involved to get more pieces, cause I can't see the Knicks trading Kristaps and they don't have any young wing players. I think the Cavs want a quality young wing player in return for Kyrie (Khris Middleton).

Why is Kyrie so enamored with the Knicks? This shyt feeling like a setup:patrice:
NY ties. He's from the NY metro area, he grew up in West Orange, NJ just 30 minutes outside of the city. His father Drederick Irving is from Mitchel Houses in the South Bronx and his godfather Rod Strickland is also from the Bronx. Kyrie played at Rumble In The Bronx in his AAU days too. He holds the Kyrie-Strickland tournament every year on 149th street and St. Mary's.

Also, no city loves Kyrie more than NY. When he comes to Dyckman/Rucker kids are climbing fences for him and court is getting mobbed. The whole Jelly Fam movement coming out with the youth NY hoops scene is a tribute to Kyrie and his lay-up package. Even local rappers are making songs after him.

Also, I think Kyrie genuinely loves playing in the Garden. You could say he had his birth of a superstar moment here when he went off with the mask.

Kyrie plays at home in the largest market, for a classic franchise, would be the undisputed leader, and plays with a budding star in KP.

Cleveland to the Finals isn't a given anymore. They're bout to lose Kyrie for DRose so thats gonna make them worse at guard. But then you got Bron, Love, & Melo that all play the same position, they gotta trade Love too :francis:
I just have a hard time seeing the Cavs losing a 7 game series to anyone not named Golden State, San Antonio, and now Houston with the CP3 acquisition and OKC with Paul George.

I think Melo has more of a sure-bet of going to the Finals with Cleveland than Houston. There was a proposed trade that sent Bledsoe to Cleveland and Love to Phoenix that looked good on paper.

I didn't know the city loved him like that; I was already gone from the city when he was coming up. I just don't want to see us going back to old habits and trading the farm for him. IF we were already contending and maybe needed that one piece to put us over the hump, then OK, sure. But right now when we're starting a rebuild? Nah, then you're banking on being able to attract free agents instead of building through the draft, and we've all seen where that kind of thinking has gotten us.

I don't get it since he has an opt out. It'd be a one year experiment if he loosened up his list and then he could sign with Houston or whoever. But I'm guessing he wants Houston so he can opt out and get a decent raise over the cap to hang out with his boy long term (but this is a fairly uneducated guess, I haven't checked cap numbers or rules to really say this has any weight behind it).

Just saw a tweet that theorized that agents and players are scared of the lack of money next summer so Melo might be planning to opt in. 'm assuming this also could be a tell that Lebron is gone.

Reminds me of the Carmelo shyt back in 2011, acting like he really repped NY because he spent some time here as a kid and was born in BK. His heart was always in West Baltimore, and was not an NY dude.

Anyway, Knicks make moves on Fridays. Is this fukkin trade happening today or nah?

Why not go to Houston and ball out with Harden and CP3 in D'Antoni's offense. Average over 25 points, go deep into playoffs and then opt out at the end of season and get one last big contract.

Well the theory is that Melo won't get more than the 28 he's owed next off season simply because teams won't have the cap space. So if he was going to do what you think, you would imagine that going to Cleveland would be a guaranteed trip to the finals. If you're thinking about the money TOO, then you go to Houston cause you know you can opt in and still be on a good team, whereas in Cleveland you don't want to opt in when you know Lebron is gone.
