Why do you have this crab in a barrel mentality? Since your employer has fukked you over on your benefits you dont want the next man to keep his benefits? Thats why the working man is losing out in this country. We dont look out for each other at all anymore. Americans receive the worst benefits package and least vacation time in the modern world and our mentality is not to fight for more but to take away the benefits of anyone who is doing better than us.

This shyt is shameful.

them refs are overpaid as fukk and shouldnt be allowed to unionize when they work the lil amount of time they do

Officiating is a part time job. Why should they get pensions?

Not to mention that they work 3 hours a week for at the most 25 days a year?

We all want the officials back, but the owners are right

This is Mr. "Dont touch welfare" yall.

Part time or not, the refs are out there to regulate a sport with high-paid, hyped-the-fukk-up athletes, and the world watching them. They been making mistakes throughout the years, but the professionalism they utilize to keep the respect of players and coaches is without measure. Players can go out their and give it there all, knowing that the BEST men for the job are out there to regulate at the highest level.

Basically, they got a serious fukking job to do, cuz billions of dollars run this biz. The fukkery on display for the first 3 weeks should show just how important it is to get the refs back.

Refs are a perfect example of don't know what you've got till it's gone. The old refs made mistakes and were far from perfect but these first 3 weeks have demonstrated how good they truly were. It didn't take forever to make simple rulings before. They didn't miss on basic calls or spots with such regularity. They actually had control of the game and made things run smoother. Part time or not they have more than proved their worth. Doesn't matter to the owner though. It's never been more clear that they don't give a fukk than it is now. They prolly would kept the players locked out if they thought they could get away with it.

When I find it, I'll edit this post, but I'm pretty sure the officials go through a LOT. I read it somewhere how they have to take courses during the season, and study the rulebook and pass tests.

It may be a part-time job, but it isn't necessarily a part-time job in the sense of, "hey, let me get a gig at McDonald's to pay for my car note." A lot goes into it.

NFL Referees: A Week In The Life | Only A Game

20-25/30-35 (head refs) hours a week
Tests over the rules every week
Reviewing gametape every week

Y'all nikkas think these dudes just get up on Sunday, go to games, work the games, and then go home? 3 hours a week ... lol.

It's uninformed to call this a "part-time job" in the same vein as working 10 hours a week at the local diner, and it's plain stupid to claim they work 3 hours a week. Between here and SOHH I've grown too tired of enlightening people to facts they either ignore or never ever bothered to attain, so I ain't about to waste my time laying the facts out here, but I will say I'll never understand how people feel comfortable making bold assertions about who's right and who's wrong when they have no grasp of any relevant information.

Unfortunately that is how the world works...and it's exceedingly fukking dangerous.
