Pac literally said why he made Hit Em Up and it wasnt just about Biggie "setting him up". Honestly. Hit Em Up was a RESPONSE track to Who Shot Ya. Which is why he said "Who Shot Me but ya punks didnt finish, Now u bout to feel the wrath of a menace...". There was DEF a purpose and goal for Hit Em Up, and he achieved it.
Response to who shot ya, riot, la la...and I have no idea what it is that Jay did to get dissed specifically. Faith was dissed because she told Biggie about it and they used that same look no further.

Pac didn't even say "who shot ya was definitely about me" he said that even if it wasn't dropping it right after he got shot was in poor taste. I think the other things were

1. Biggie and Puff publicly acted like they supported Pac and they didn't visit him or nothing

2. Biggie's ready to die...was very similar to Pac's original version of matw that he pretty much had to scrap

3. The possibility that Biggie may have knew something was going to happen but didn't say anything.

Yeah the timing of putting out who shot ya wasn’t right I’ll agree ........ but it wasn’t anyone in bigs click that had him hit that’s the point ...... that’s all good it’s a strong diss if you like songs like that like I said I like more up beat songs like me against the world / to live n die in l.a .... it’s that type of energy that contributed to been getting smoked .....
Fam fukk the bullshyt. He FELT it was a diss and he responded accordingly. This is also AFTER Diddy dissed him in Vibe and Biggie n them clowned him with Fab Five Freddy. Also after Biggie ignored ALL of his calls after he got shot and was still running around wit the nikkas who set him up. After DPG's trailer got shot up cause of Biggie. Mad shyt. And ALL of them nikkas at Death Row had a diss for Biggie and Bad Boy around that time. INCLUDING Snoop. Pac just the only one who put his shyt out.

Yup Faith wouldnt have even been involved in the diss if it wasn't for her going back to Biggie and telling him about the original version and them taking the beat before he put his shyt out. I mean I understand why she did it but still. She shouldn't have been messy tryna get back at her husband for his cheating by fukking his enemy.

He knew exactly who set him up shortly after he got shot & why. That's been confirmed
So do you go after the hired gunmen,

or the kingpin niccaz with assassin money who

hired them?.Like Henchmen told him "You can't

war with me.You're money's not right"

it's not as simple as picking up a gun and

going Rambo.Pac was playing by the rules

.Doing what simple Simon azz niccaz

recommend (going Rambo) would've had

him dead before All Eyez On Me could

drop.

I never suggested he do that lol. I only pointed out he knew who set him up & why

And the war comment bro was directed at the Young Guns not Pac specifically

snoop does have a point about hit em up been a pointless diss ... we already know biggie n junior mafia had nothing to do with quad so why rap and insinuate they had something to do with it and this is your response on wax it does sound stupid

Even if you were dissapointed in BIG as a friend the amount of vitriol that was dedicated to the man you would have thought they had him hit. Instead the real Brooklyn killers, scoundrels & psychos didn't receive nearly as much attention. It was all nonsense

In my opinion Pac tried to lessen the public L he took by running with a lie & controlling the narrative/public's perception of what happened. It worked because till this day you have people that actually believe Big had something to do with it or had prior knowledge

People can say what they want but the average person wasn’t entrenched in nyc street life to even understand what played out. The average person was running around thinking bad boy had Pac shot so that’s how Hit Em Up was absorbed

Pac said nikkax ain’t try come see him
Big said he was trying to see Pac

I can’t do shyt with the he said she said

What we know is Pac was on the outs with some true villains and Biggie was held responsible in their place

Biggie's OWN security said Biggie was dodging Pac's calls when he was tryna contact him. As far as him attacking the real killers on wax? Did u not listen to Makaveli 7 Day Theory? He barely even dissed Biggie on that shyt and sent more shots at Puffy, Jimmy Henchman,, AND Haitian Jack. He named all of them right on that shyt. He also named them in Vibe(which was a bad idea) but the editor switched shyt up cause he felt it was too dangerous. People keep running with this lie that Pac wasnt tryna shyt on the killers in the situation. When that's far from the truth. Also. Hit Em Up was a direct response to Who Shot Ya?, I Shot Ya, LA LA, Faith snitchin on him and Biggie n them taking the beat, and Biggie getting DPG's trailer shot up. Also it was shots at OTHER nikkas that was dissing him in they songs like Chino XL etc. Hit Em Up was a RESPONSE record. NOT an ATTACK record. ALL them Death Row nikkas had smoke and records for Biggie n Bad Boy including Snoop and Dr. Dre but Pac was the only one with balls enough to release his shyt.

This is the problem that I tend to run into with 2Pac fans

Was he a rapper to you or something more?

2Pac did not go at anybody involved with the situation with the fervor that he did BIG & Co. There were videos dedicated to those guys, songs, interviews etc

The average person had no clue who JH & HJ were when they were mentioned on AAO. Sometimes we lose sight of how easy a situation was to hide in plain sight in them days. If you knew you knew & if you didn’t you were unfamiliar. Pac was seemingly comfortable with having people believe Bad Boy had him hit. 2Pac was in magazines snitching on nikkax. Biggie was a wack friend worthy of being called out. The streets that had him clapped were worthy of Hit Em Up. The streets that had him clapped were worthy of returned fire...but what would that lead to?

Pac was a fukking musician and not a gangsta so of course he wasn’t trying to mix it up like that with nikkax. One thing to be in the club fighting with nikkax. It’s another thing to go to war in the streets

How did BIG security know he was calling anyway? When did caller ID get poppin? Lol

U dont think the main security detail knows who's trying to contact his clients? Fam are u serious? If's he's in the room with Biggie. Obviously Biggie mentioned something to him(Which Gene Deal said he did, and he told him the reason he's dodging his calls). Also. U said u got a problem with Pac fans. For what? Pointing out the truth? I literally laid facts out in that post and all u can retort with is the corny "was he a rapper to u or something more?" bullshyt. What u need to focus on is if I told a lie or not. The problem with u Pac haters is yall project yall feelings off on other people. Noone in here called Pac a superhero or none of that. If u think that by people telling the truth about him. So be it? I think the complete opposite. I think he was a young nikka who was in over his head and had no chill. He def coulda handled some shyt differently but that's easy as fukk to say in hindsight when u aint in the situation. He obviously aint a superhero cause he got clapped and died.

@spliz is right about those points bro. Big went from fukin with Pac heavy to not really fukin with him within months. Big did try to go see him at the hospital but was turned away but he gave him his gun back. Big & the Young Gunz didn't go see Pac in jail because most of them didn't have drivers licenses/photo ID lol

This is just my opinion & it's not popular among the pro Pac crowd but I think Big stopped fukin with him because after warning him about those nikkas he got robbed himself according to Little Shawn. Pac went back & mentioned what Big said about them & that's what supposedly happened. This isn't something Big or his crew could speak even on publicly because of the consequences. To me it explains how he goes from one extreme to the other where he pretty much washes his hands of the situation & Pac

Im still skeptical about that shyt Shawn said because both Stretches brother and Pac's brother in law disputed that shyt Lil Shawn be talkin.
