Probably my favorite battle so far. Felt good seeing these legends perform their hits and show each other a lot of respect & admiration.

Interesting battle. DMX has big jokers in Slippin and perhaps What's my Name or Get At Me Dog but Snoop's catalog is just deep man. He's the favorite to everyone except Jay-Z. I'm curious about the selection that Snoop picks. I don't really have to scramble my brain to figure out what DMX will play. I'm struggling to figure out what Snoop brings though. He can let out the chopper on damn near anything DMX plays when DMX goes first. DMX plays Damien 1, Snoop comes back with Murder Was The Case. DMX plays Party Up, Snoop comes back with Drop It Like It's Hot. Down For My nikkas has to get played too and that comes with the strength to beat a Get At Me Dog. X is my nikka but man, this is an uphill battle for him.

I knew the battle before I watched it. Damn.

I was very impressed with how X was able to match songs with Snoop. Those early rounds were iffy, but X got a lot of those latter rounds. Seemed like he stuck 100% with his set list and didn’t just react to what Snoop played (like Nelly and Fabolous did during their battles). Think this was hands down the best Verzuz, and showed that X should get his flowers more often, and reminded people how much of an MC Snoop really is.

Man I appreciate this shyt so much. It’s that old Hip-Hop spirit that created park jams by plugging sound systems to the light poles. What other genre could come up with an “live” event that gets 1.5 million views during a pandemic?
