To kick things off, Snoop came out with one of his early hits that initially got eyes on him “Deep Cover”. DMX decides to come through the gate with the intro to his classic album It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot. Though this was a dope matchup, Snoop took this round by a hair.

so objectively, you can’t understand why someone wouldn’t like the song?

I disliked the song alot at first bc I thought it was a party song. And all anybody knew was "y'all gon make me lose my mind..." People would go crazy in clubs and didnt know a single word other than the chorus.

But then I started listening to the lyrics and I found that its a typical dmx song about killing/violence but set over a party-club beat, and yet nobody knows it bc they only know the chorus
