I never understood why Dre didn't try to buy Death Row when Suge lost it in the first place. I understand wanting to move on but getting to own your masters and having control of the label would be the biggest fukk you to Suge.

If i’m Dre I’m definitely hitting up Snoop for them Masters. And i’m not saying he shouldn’t be fair and not buy them from Snoop or work something out. But he damn sure wouldn’t be touring with me or getting me to sign off on anything regarding the label or any new ventures until I get them damn Masters

Because Wide Awake and then Hasbro probably knew what the value of it was so they didn't bother offering it. Besides, they can't put out 500 remastered versions of The Chronic and other Death Row stuff with "bonus" crap if they sold it back to Dr. Dre.

Nah not really. Snoop and is all over The Chronic. Not just with the pen. He is literally performing all over that joint. There’s definitely a conversation to be had between them but Snoop 100% deserves a piece of the masters, but that’s between them.

especially since Snoop was getting ganked by Death Row for years while Dre wasn’t and Dre just bounced and left him hanging with a fukked up contract. Dre and Suge did the exact same shyt to Snoop that Eazy and Jerry did to Dre, but people always expect Snoop to show Dre love. It’s cool that they have moved past it, but Snoop put in work on The Chronic and never really got paid like he should have

When Snoop says 'he' bought Death Row, 'he' owns the Masters, he really means 'they' own. Anyone with a skerrick of common sense can see plain as day that an investment consortium is acquiring these things and he's merely the face of it.

dre had freedom...n was suppose to eat 2 ways... as a death row owner and as a artist signed to interscope.. interscope held their end of the bargain..

suge didnt split shyt when it came to death row..

interscope was just a distributor to death row...

it was also a clause to where.. if shyt fell apart at death row... eazy would get all rights back pertaining to dre...if dre decided to leave death row and interscope.. like i said for the umpteenth time .. has dre ever left... so that contract is still valid til this day

hope they got their retroactive pay ready
