I don't hate the beat flip for Message in a Bottle and how Snoop raps at one point...

But I really really dislike Dre's obsession with goofy vocal inflections and goofy vocals in general. It was all over Compton and arguably ruined it - who's mans is this at the end? Overproduced as hell and would work better if they dialed all that back and just rhymed over the flip

This is not what I want from these guys at all

Exactly, they're doing way too much. To the point where song doesn't even seem to have a bridge, hook or anything and Snoop is never really allowed to get into his groove in any one style. It's a wierd song.

Dre is excelling into that RZA type shyt and not in a good way.

Plus you know these guys have yesmen everywhere Their at that point where they feel you can't tell them anything based off their track record

Kush was a great track too.

:blessed:

Dre all over the place now. He’s in the business lane and good for him too.

Sadly that means he’s lost a few steps, musically speaking.

Casablanco was ok tho tbf, I’ll give him that...But again, nobody was asking for it.

Its not horrible, but all these singles are very safe and bland. Its a concerted effort on Dre's part to make songs that are gonna get played in car commercials.

I'm still expecting the album to have some joints but if I had influence on Dre I would have suggested a true sequel to Doggystyle - all P Funk samples replayed and updated by Mel Man, Elizondo, Storch etc.

No wonder Kendrick never put any Dr Dre beat on his albums. He even said Dj Quik was the best producer from the West
Dr Dre praised Kendrick for being his only artist that did it without him, but I'm sure in reality Dot never really fukked with him like that production wise. Being his "protege" was definitely a better bet in his eyes.
