I can see why this arc is considered one of the GOATs. I can't believe how wild this storyline is getting.
These Chimera Ants are vicious, some of the most savage villains I've seen in an anime so far. They're just carrying people off by the hundreds and feeding them to the queen like it's nothing
They ain't have to do old girl Ponzu like THAT
Getting one in the dome right in the middle of her plan to get help, and getting bloodily devoured

These chimera ant fights are brutal though. The way that centaur looking dude came in with two butt naked dudes ( ) with leashes on being his dogs and casually stomping them to death

These kills are next-level
Killua snapping that mosquito lady's neck and ripping her head clean off
Gon slicing that centipede guy in half with a new rock-paper-scissors technique
Kite casually sonning that centaur and later murking that whole forest full of ants with his scythe attack

Just now Gon crushed that armadillo chimera ant while he was balled up
Then you had Killua ripping old dude's heart out like Kano in Mortal Kombat. Fatalities everywhere in this story arc

And the worst part is that the ants are starting to figure out nen. Once they all learn it, it's looking like it's a wrap

I don't think Pokkle's going to make it, y'all

Imagine you're out exploring a new country with your girl. You and your crew get ambushed by a bunch of demonic monsters way stronger than any human.
Your girl goes to get help, and she gets several bullets through the dome from one of those demons before she's brutally ripped to shreds and eaten.
You wake up in the demon's lair, and you're stuck hiding butt booty nekkid in a pile of human corpses, waiting for your chance to escape. Just when you think you have a chance...
an even stronger is born that minute that's 100x stronger than the rest, and they sense your presence immediately.

You get dragged out of the pile of corpses, still butt-naked, and you get lobotomized. The monsters open up your skull, pick your brain with chopsticks for everything you know forcing you to snitch on the human race. You're fully aware of everything that's happening, and there's nothing you can do to save yourself.

When they're finished, some Pigma-Dengar looking dude comes through with a butcher knife and brutally hacks you to pieces. Your rotting corpse is fed to the queen of the monsters. None of your homies from the previous arcs came to save you. They don't even remember you. No one will ever remember you.

I never pictured ANY anime character having a worse life than YAMCHA
That's EASILY a top 2 most brutal hoeing of any fictional character I've ever seen
They couldn't let him keep his draws on?

Ninja, these ants have ME shook. Just finished Episode 87, and these Chimera Ants are a top 2 most demonic anime villain clique of all time (beaten only the Godhead in Berserk) IMO.

What really burns slow is the way Gon and Killua are still set on rescuing Kite not knowing what's already happened to him.
