Even if he was a face these ratings would still have happened.
If you say so..but when ladt evidenced and he was the face WWE Champion who took over wrestling and it wasnt fake Braun pushes, cancer pushed Roman, Lesnar pop ups, Corbin everywhere fukking with his entire set up? Ratings were still 3.0 every week on a 3 hour Raw...something the red hot CM Punk in 2011 couldnt get.

Tbh, both main roster shows are completely in the shytter and SD has gotten worse since the superstar shakeup. WWE can't blame the ratings decline on Kofi or Seth Rollins b/c it wouldn't matter who the top belts are on it wouldn't make a difference. The problem with both shows is that nobody on the main roster is over but...BROCK LESNAR. Even with that said his gimmick is tired.

I think what's going to happen with the Smackdown/FOX deal is I think the ratings will continue decline (even though the summer) and Vince is going to put the WWE Title on Brock the first SD on FOX. This makes things no better b/c Friday nights are a "dead night" for TV which can make WWE ratings even worse. If this becomes a trend, FOX will cancel Smackdown by Spring 2020.

It's a lost cause at this point. This is what was bound to happen.

You know what's interesting? Today marks the 11-year anniversary of when I first started watching the WWE. And it's sad that on this day, I have never been more uninterested or disillusioned with the product than I am right now. I think the last episode of RAW or SmackDown that I actually tuned in to watch was before Money in the Bank. I didn't even watch Money in the Bank. It's not much but I always figured that I would at least have a small amount of interest in the company. That with all the shortcomings, it wouldn't get to the point where I absolutely didn't care to watch another WWE show. But here we are.

One of the all-time best moments as a WWE fan for me was getting to see Kofi Kingston win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. It was something that I couldn't have even predicted would happen in January. Now we have a black WWE Champion and one that's in the main event picture. And I don't even care to see it.

They finally decided to take the Universal Championship off of Brock. They gave it to Seth Rollins a year later than they should have IMO, but at least there was a chance for a fresh start with him. I don't care to see that either. Especially when they decided to give Brock something he didn't need (MITB briefcase) and will most likely take over whatever show he's on once he cashes in. That's not even mentioning the fact that Kofi and Seth were being made to look like idiots, hoping that Brock would choose to cash in on them. :scust:

Becky Lynch was the hottest act in 2018. I knew she deserved her moment at WrestleMania. It was something that happened naturally and was earned. I don't care to see her as the champion either.

Bayley somehow went from being an afterthought to the SmackDown Women's Champion in one night. Someone who has been undervalued for months is back in the spotlight and I don't care to see that either. Especially when Alexa Bliss is waiting in the background, ready to son her one more time and take another title from her.

That doesn't even get into the matches repeated for months, lack of storylines, lack of interesting characters or motivations that make any sense, the end of the brand split after three years, booking that's done as they go along, and a bunch of other problems that we already know about. I'm not going to blame anybody for everything because WWE brought this on themselves. The top champions are all people I'm fans of and I don't care to watch any of it. Modern Family reruns probably get better ratings than both RAW and SmackDown at this point, but I don't think the company really cares about that. :mjlol:

I hear they’re both tearing up the talk show circuit here in the US

Who wasn't believable because everyone knew there was no chance the title was changing.

And because they didn’t give it an interesting story.

Guys wrestling just to wrestle isn’t enough. You need a hook. And the hook there was these two great wrestlers are locking up for the title. And neither is the heel. It was all boring as hell. None of the shyt was compelling tv and at the end of the day, that’s why people tune in.

On the flip side, they haven’t done a thing with kofi since he won the title. The KO feud was okay at best and this stuff with Ziggler is wack because no one truly believes he’ll win. Kofi’s title isn’t in jeopardy against a guy who’s been around for more than a decade and has taken too many L’s to be considered dangerous. There was a proper way to build Dolph back up and then have him go after the title but they didn’t do that. But the last time we saw homie, he was getting beat down by drew, a man who isn’t the champ. So I’m supposed to believe he can beat the champ now? Ok

All terrible excuses.

Seth vs. AJ was a dream match since AJ first came to WWE. It didn't matter if he was gonna win or not.

But we’ve seen Wwe can’t sell “dream match” they don’t have the tools in place to do it. There needs to be a story for the people who haven’t watched AJ and Seth tear it up in the indies for years. You gotta be in the present and in the present, just telling me this is a dream match without showing me is a cardinal sin.

The thing is I'm not blaming "da black man" so don't use those TLR tactics on me. I've NEVER been that idiot to blame the champion. I was saying YEARS AGO that it's not the champion that draws the ratings but the overall product. But you all were like, "Duh, da champion draws da ratings," so now I'm just using that stupid logic against you and asking where is that same energy?

Same marks who want to absolve their favorites of any blame want to put the blame on Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. :mjlol: Keep it consistent TSC is all I ask. But this place has turned into a CAC like wrestling board from the early 00s, what a fukking fall off.

Bad product = bad ratings. Wrestling is ICE COLD right now. Doesn't matter who's champion or who's challenging. I mean, let me ask you this; how many more millions of viewers was that Kofi vs. Bryan program pulling as opposed to the Red flavored bullshyt on RAW? Exactly.

WWE bought their own problems on themselves and this has been a trend the last 5-6 years. shyt started going in the toilet around fall 2013 and it never stopped. At some point we knew the Cena era was going to end. Vince failed to create the next mega superstar like he had w/Hogan, Austin, & Rock. As far as I'm concerned Roman being a top guy is a failed experiment.

There is no character development, shyt storylines, pointless PPVs, is a MAJOR reason why WWE where their at in 2019. It was blame the ratings on MNF & NBA but that excuse only last so long. It's the dog days of summer now they have no competition let's see if WWE can at least TRY to put out some decent TV.

Again if someone blamed Austin for a bad week why not.. he's the champion he is also the centerpiece of the company. Same for Cena. People really gonna argue that Kofi is the centerpiece of the company :mjlol:

Look, we were happy to see Kofi as champion because he finally got something, some credit for all the hard work he's put in, but in no way has he been pushed like previous champions who were "the guy" across the board.

Last person to get that kind of push was Roman.
