Super Underrated game. Almost felt like a spiritual successor to the True Crime games. But yea its loads of fun.

It was supposed to be True Crime: Hong Kong but it got canceled after going through development and budget issues. Square Enix came and bought the publishing rights for it but renamed it Sleeping Dogs instead.

EDIT: Donnie Yen got a Sleeping Dogs movie coming out soon. If it's popular it might be possible the game gets a revival in the future. :ehh:

While playing it this evening, I came upon a garage attendant who said something to the effect of, "Back in the day, I was so successful. Now I just push a button for a living." :pachaha:

I've beat sleeping dogs twice and the dlc. Love the game to death but it doesn't come close to RDR2 in terms of world building or immersion. It's just a good true crime sequel like it was meant to be

Bought the game yesterday based the opinions on this thread (the game being 4.49 on PSN didn't hurt). Honestly so far it is pretty fun. Best 4.49 i have ever spent,

Sleeping Dog's gameplay was far superior and I think the city, with its sounds and sights, was a lot more atmospheric and immersive than the Western frontier of RDR2. :yeshrug:
