Game is not disappointing in the least bit for me. I loved the True Crime games because they had more of an arcadey feel than GTA. It always was more fun to play if you ask me. This game is 10000x better than the other 2 True Crime games as far as gameplay goes and its pretty damn polished if you ask me. I'm maybe like 40% through with the main story and I'm fukking love this shyt so far. Sidemissions are fun as fukk to me as well.
the game is only based on hong kong island, which is like one of the three districts. so its kinda like having a game based on new york, but only got manhattan in it
the 4 areas in the game: north point, central, aberdeen, kennedy town are real areas but the roads are fictional
the signs, roads, minibuses, taxis all look on point...but some places look a bit too chinatown-esque
all the swearing is on point tho

I read the GI review on it...they said that while there are occasional hiccups and issues that show why Activision passed on releasing it...it's still a great game.
They also said that while GTAV is months away, and the Saints Row series is on a hiatus until 4, this isn't a bad way to kill time in between.

I have no regrets coping on drop day. and I've had zero issues with it while I've been playing(PS3 version by the way. UFG has made nothing but PS games until this release)
Also, you cant go by the combat shown in these vids because they always get people that suck ass to play these game when it comes to reviewers. Just by reading these reviews you can tell they were button mashing. When you button mash and you are too far away from a target it doesnt do like Batman and auto close-in, instead you go into a stance as a punishment for it. Also, you unlock more moves as you play.
Also, tho this may be more personal, it doesnt have those same extra weighty controls that GTA4(and all of Rockstars games) have. Thats a huge plus for me.
