Sleep Paralysis (Old Hag Syndrome)

Any of yall ever experience this? I've had one experience with it and it was quite frankly the scariest shyt I've ever been through. If I hadn't of known what it was beforehand I think I would have literally shyt my pants or had a stroke or some sh!t.

Back when I was 16-17 years old I was falling asleep in the den. Suddenly I wake up and I can't move. It's pitch black. I try calling out but I can't make a sound. I start panicking and hyperventilating. Throughout the whole thing I sense an evil "presence" in the corner of the room staring at me and thankfully I can't turn my head cause If I did I'm 100% sure I would have seen the devil or some hellish looking demon or something. I just know that whatever it is is the epitome of evil. After what seems like an hour of this (really just a couple of minutes) I break out of it and get up, say wtf and go to my room.

So what up breh's? Who else has been through this nightmarish sh!t?

I've had dreams where I feel I've woken up(but haven't). I feel as though I can't breath or at least I can't open my mouth and I can't move. Really sucks haven't had one in awhile. I haven't had any jinn in my dreams or evil apparitions.

Did you ever figure out what it was?

Repost. I remember this topic from a while back. I forget who was talking about a witch sitting on his chest LMAO. And then people turned it into a religious debate. I have had it happen to me before a few times though. Its normally just a shadow figure.

Yeah it was just sleep paralysis. Basically your brain wakes up before your body does so you're unable to move for a little bit while you finish waking up. It is sometimes accompanied by auditory or visual hallucinations. Thankfully I had read about it before so when it happened to me I knew what was up. Before science explained what it was people called it The Old Hag. The story as I heard it was that if you were a "bad" person in life, The Old Hag would come when you were asleep and sit on your chest, suffocating you.

It has happened to me like twice

I think the trick is to try and move your toes

It used to happen to me a lot. I used to see this huge guy with horns dressed in armor coming for me while i couldn't move. Scary as shyt cause you can see but cant move or make noises. I could be incorrect but i read somewhere that you can even die from it. That true?

My girl used to tell me it happened to her she called it a witch on her back. I would talk shyt and call her country until it happened to me
After a few times I tell myself next time I feel it fukk that imma fight that shyt off , so one night it's happening to me again. I'm literally fighting to move my arms and open my eyes and once I opened them it was a fukkin old gray haired man standing there lookin at me like you happy now motherfukker. I instantly went and slammed my eyes back shut. He left up the stairs and it sounded like he was scratching a chalkboard and dragging chains with him.

It never felt like someone felt was on my chest but my whole body felt like it was being tied down. I could talk or scream just grunt. it feels like it lasts for several secs but apparently i'll be in this state for nearly a half an hour according to my family.

I had this happen to me at a friends house.. just as I got into REM sleep I heard a loud explosion and I dreamed that I could see light from the explosion coming from the window and it freaked me the fukk out. I really thought we were being bombed or some shyt.
