Yeah "different" as in they were hyping it up to be some kind of classic with a lot of substance. The album is the opposite of what they said it was going to be.

They rapped more about their lives on this album than they did on their debut though...

They were sayin like a year before the album dropped that there's gonna be more commercial records on it, Budden was sayin months ago in an interview that he "can't wait" till ppl start tellin him how he 'sold out'.

As for the statement, some of yall are makin it out to be wayy more than it actually is.

If yall are really intested about this whole topic (as much as yall seem to be), u might wanna check out their Juan Epstein interview which dropped yesterday:

http://www.the-coli.com/booth/40295-audio-slaughterhouse-juan-epstein-link.html#post1455008

where they talk about a lot of the same stuff, but instead of a 1 minute video clip, it's actually a long interview. Good listen

Joe budden is right though.

if you dont like the album then dont buy it

if you like just a few songs then go to itunes and get those songs.

the same songs you dont like might be the same songs the next fan likes the most.

i downloaded all their shyt for free and im going to keep it that way

he said he dont give a fukk so we both even.

Breh, them selling was never going to happen no matter what they did. Since being rap stars was never in the cards, at the very least they could've kept it 100 with the few fans they had, and stuck to the "keep it real/raw lyrics" niche they had.

Instead they attempted to cross over, failed to do so, and on top of that pissed off what few fans they had. They sold 60k....even if they sold 20 copies you don't tell your fan base "we don't care what people think because we ain't selling". That fan base, no matter how small, is the thin line between you being a professional rapper and working drive through at Taco Bell.

Fred.

I think they saw what happened with 2 Chainz being 36 years old and in the game for over a decade and getting buzz and popularity after the Kanye connection...

A small part of their mind probably thought getting with Eminem gave them a small sliver of a chance to get that final last push of being "big"...So they went for it and failed....

Yeah nobody bought it so :manny:

These n!ggas don't even sound proud of the product.

I remember Kanye dancin around to 808s while people were like :beli:

But he believed in the work he was doing, these cats like mad at us for voicing an opinion about an album that THEY put out there to be judged.

in the end, his legacy is cemented by his fans. end your career on a sour note and it will change the way youre viewed in history.

ironically when his shyt is well reviewed and his fans like it he says how much he lovessss his fans. budden and co. underestimated their fanbase. we arent dumb. sorry bruh.

SINY!!
Fact.....if your dropping a mixtape around the same time as your album....chances are you know the album isnt gonna please your fans. It also tells me as a fan.....that rather then make the album you should have, that you instead decided to let the suits bend you over, no lube, and do it their way.

My Pops Forever RIP
Theyre idiots, and tried to fool the mainstream into thinking that they should care about them by pandering. Only people that care, are "purists" and nerds on forums like us. And they basically gave us the finger with that album. Em stans supplied the bulk of that 60k they moved, and even they have forced themselves to enjoy it begrudgingly. No one wanted to hear them doing that bullshyt. No one.

Just make an album like the damn mixtape that we liked. The exact same fans will cop it off name alone, and all the people shytting on this album will give it a chance and possibly cop too.

Is Interscope not remotely aware of this?!

The problem is that the people who claim they're Slaughterhouse fans and are bytching are most likely the type of fans that wouldn't have bought On The House if that turned out to be the retail album. They'd be complaining less, but it's not a lock that they'd sell. Welcome To Our House in 2 weeks has doubled what the first album sold in total. Of course Joe is gonna feel justified in doing what he and his group did.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Nah, he was basically saying, he/they can make whatever kind of music they want and (that's where he was going with the toilet analogy) nikkas have to deal with it.

Anytime someone starts saying they don't give a fukk, it's clearly a sign of them giving a fukk

:lolbron:

I copped the first SH album because I liked how they were going about it. I was hype with the Shady news, but after hearing the shyt they put on wax for this album I lost a ton of respect for all of these dudes.

They should be ashamed. Attention whore type music.

AND that video they dropped for Throw it Away was so terrible that they needed to use subtitles and narrate the damn point of it.

How you have a video so damn lame and uninspired that you have to literally spell out what the fukk it's about while it's going on?

:heh:

Pathetic

that's almost right but a lot of people in here mad about nothing

he said he sometimes takes shyts downstairs, sometimes upstairs. its about preference that day... it all boils down to taking a shyt tho

so the mixtape is hard, the album is commercial. it's all slaughterhouse. what he said was if you like the mixtape more, then get that (shyt upstairs)... if you like the album more, get that (shyt downstairs)... but at the end of the day you listening to slaughterhouse... same shyt, different toilet

----------------------------------------

but i see why people would be mad cause the mixtape is free and the album isn't.. so really we paying for one bathroom and the other is free... and the free bathroom is nicer and cleaner. which him getting paid off albums he should know this.. but obviously he don't care and is focused on show money anyway
